El Prado Inn, Santurce

The lady charged $150 because flight was delayed even though we gave plenty of notice. We upgraded to a larger room as another friend decided to come from Fl to join us $50 change fee. No internet, phone or pool hard to find. Bad experience. They then claimed an umbrella was broken and bilked my friend for more money- they were wrong. This was an especially distasteful experience from someone who is easy to please and has never written a really bad review

I can't really say that I disliked anything about my stay at the El Prado Inn. The staff was pleasant and attentive. For the price, you just can�t beat it! I mean you even get free parking! And let�s face it, how much time do you spend in your room, while on vacation? The water pressure was phenomenal, no need for a high priced spa. You are in the lovely Condado area of Puerto Rico, and just minutes from the beach, hello. I would highly recommend a stay at El Prado Inn. Now if you feel that you must over spend you hard earned money, then I would recommend that you stay at one of the overly priced Hotels on the Ashfor Blvd. the choice is yours. Stayed here at a last minute,because I was not happy with original place I booked. Staff was EXTREMLY accomodating. Friendly, courteous and helpful. Conviently located midway between the beach and main strip. Highly recommend.

This hotel has a great location by the park, a block from restaurants on the Condada & Walgreens for necessities about 5 blocks...Old San Juan is about $8 taxi ride 15-20 min. The hotel is clean enough some bad paint jobs...really yuke colors (2004)... no views. Rates are low...coffee out in the morning small pool with lots of plants. So in & out of your room want to save money...it works well!!

I LOVED IT! It is one of the most exiting, exotic, sexy places you can go to have tons of fun! It is located in a safe but very popular place and has lots of clubs around.

We loved this place - the pool was a little haven - the staff very welcoming - great location - it was amazing value for the price - we'd stay there again.

I love the service and the location. People were very friendly, and I felt that I was treated like a king. The room was excellent, and the way the kept the room was excellent. I will recomment this hotel anytime.

El Prado is a perfect place to stay if you're looking for something simple and affordable, clean and quiet. It's a couple blocks off the main strip, which makes it peaceful to sit by the little pool (which you'll probably have to yourself). But those couple blocks take a couple minutes to walk, and then your on the main strip with dozens of restaurants, bars, shops and casinos to choose from. The rooms are simple, nice and clean. The managers are friendly and happy to provide information (and bottled water or towels for the pool or beach). The beach is less than a 10-min walk from El Prado, by the way. Parking is easy, they serve a small breakfast...It's a nice place. Negatives: The breakfast really isn't much more than some bread and a fruit salad that doesn't look too appetizing. Also, the pool is like the pool you might have in your backyard. This isn't the Marriott. If I go back to San Juan, I'm definitely staying at El Prado. Inexpensive and walking distance to everything you'll want to do!

Great place if you want to save some money, safe. Nice park in front, spanish style.
