Nice place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/09
We had a two night stay first weekend of November. Clean room. Great location. Short drive to York, Ogonquit, Wells, Kennebunkport. A-OK!

I have just had the pleasure of staying at the Coachman last week. What a lovely experience. The staff was so friendly, and helpful.. Our room was SPOTLESS! Nicely decorated, and the location can not be beat. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you so much!

Thumbs up all the way...A wonderful stay!
By Mi Bo, 07/08/09
Warm, welcoming & wonderful! My sis & I stayed there (don't be afraid to bargain for discounts, folks); and it was a great experience. Clean, well-appointed rooms, great & friendly lobby staff (thanks Wendy!), best there is housekeeping (thanks, Karen!)...everyone looking to make your stay superb, with an extra dose of that universally-acclaimed Maine "Puckish wit" thrown in! The shopping from Kittery to York and beyond is fabulous! Coachman Inn puts you smack dab into the middle of all of it, truly. We met folks from Upstate NY, NYC, Penn, Canada, Jersey, Montana (!), Wyoming & a cute couple from Germany in the breakfast area of the lobby. Breakfast is 6am to 11am everyday. Coffee on the brew 24/7, as is the lobby. No surly, burnt-out employees here at the Coachman, I could find. Coffee, oj, milk, pastries, cereals, English muffins, hard-boiled eggs, a great place to fill up & meet people before you started your day. So congenial and pleasant, we cherished every moment, as everyone has a story to tell. If you're anti-social, this is not the place for you, friend. The Coachman Inn was a clean, friendly, uplifting place to rest our heads. Worth every penny in my opinion. The location (across from the Malls) is good, the amenities are way above average, the staff is excellent, the pool is clean and inviting, as is the lobby area. Do yourself a favor and make your base home here, you will not regret that choice.

Planning our trip back!
By Shannon H, 04/07/09
The Coachman Inn at Kittery is hands-down my favorite hotel that I have ever stayed at. The room was spotless, the location was wonderful (right across from the Kittery Outlets), parking is available directly in front of the rooms, and the staff is exquisite. My boyfriend and I went to Kittery for our anniversary in April of 2008, and because it was still the off-season almost everything was closed. But the staff at the Coachman Inn searched for a restaurant that was open and would suit both of our tastes. They were extremely friendly. They even provided a weather update in the morning. We couldn't have been more pleased and we plan on staying there again for our anniversary this year!

Fantastic little hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/07
I know that this probably won't be of use to people staying here now - but I stayed here for two nights back in October 2002 and have some fantastic memories of the hotel and the area. Right next door to what must be the biggest sweet shop in the world, and only a stone's throw from some fantastic outlet shopping. The hotel itself was clean, the staff couldn't have been nicer and coming from Scotland, the cost was unbelievably low - and judging from prices today hasn't changed much over the past 5 years. If you haven't visited - then put The Coachman Inn on your list - you won't be disappointed.

What a gem!!!
By Susan L, 08/20/07
We stayed at a Holiday Inn and the Boston Park Plaza as part of this vacation. The Coachman Inn was the best of the bunch!!! Wonderful room, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice, and the bathroom - what water pressure!!! The room was clean and quiet and oh so comfortable. It was hard to move on and we, too, wish it was a chain. :) Thanks for a great start to our Maine vacation.

Family Friendly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/06
They have family rooms with two queen beds, one twin bed and two full baths for a great price for the area. Morning breakfast includes pastries, muffins, cereal and fruit. I checked into this hotel and checked out of a different one. I lost money on the other hotel, but it was well worth it to be located so close to the outlet stores and have a nice, clean room with a nice pool. There were many families staying there so we felt right at home.
