Great Stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/22/09
This hotel was fantastic. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean, all the appliances worked. I liked that it was right off Rt 1 and near I-95. I had a great stay here. Definitely would return. No complaints whatsoever.

Perfect Weekend!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/17/08
We had a glorious holiday weekend here! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room/bathroom were spotless, the fridge, microwave, and tv worked beautifully, and you know the Cloud Nine bedding was divine. Breakfast was great, as well. This Hampton Inn's location was terrific- just off US 1, but far enough away to miss all that traffic noise. It was close enough to hop onto I-95 for fun in Baltimore and DC. They offered a delightful promotional discount, as well, so it was an even better price. I don't know, perhaps they instituted new management/staff since the other reviews were written, but our stay at this hotel was fantastic- very much in character with Hampton Inn's policies. We very much enjoyed our stay in October 2008, and will *definitely* make this our hotel of choice in the DC area! We had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Thank you, Laurel Hamton Inn, for a fabulous vacation!

Gawdawful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/06
I and several family members from across the country stayed at the Hampton Inn in Laurel, MD, during a recent family tragedy. I wasn't expecting sympathy, but I certainly would have appreciated better customer service. Some of the desk clerks were fine. Unfortunately, the one I had to deal with most often over a five-day period was impolite, sloppy and indifferent. I literally had to pick up the house phone (located immediately adjacent to the front desk) to trick this clown into leaving his lounging quarters and checking my 80-year-old mother into her room. I also learned -- after the fact of checking in -- that the Hampton Inn markets itself to local funeral homes as having a special bereavement rate. Not true! Or at least when I requested the bereavement rate upon check-out on a retroactive basis, "Bozo" acted as though he had no idea what I was talking about (granted, he probably wasn't familar with a word with as many syllabyls as "bereavement). My experience was especially disappointing in that the facility itself is fairly new and cleaner than most chain hotels. Also, I've stayed at other Hampton Inns and had excellent experience. In the unlikely event I ever need to spend another night in Laurel, MD, it won't be at the Hampton Inn!

Never staying there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
Hampton parking lot has big signs that say not responsible for personal property inside vehicle. Our vehicle was vandalized overnight and when we approached the front desk the next morning, the person there said "oh, is that your van out there? Yeah, that happened last night!" Seven hours later. Yet the employees of the Hampton Inn never called the police! That makes you feel very uncomfortable staying there. After calling the manager (who wasn't there at the time and we had to leave), calling the customer support line, submitting feedback via the Hampton web site and the Hilton web site, we've heard nothing. We'll never give them our business again.

Looking forward to a better visit next time.
By Tammy, 05/20/05
We checked in late at night after a long drive. The man at the reception desk was extremely rude. If he hadn't been so tired we would have walked out and found alternate accomodations. Later, I spoke with the hotel manager who apologized and credited us for the stay. It was a shame that the man at the desk was so rude because everything else about the hotel was wonderful. It was beautiful, clean, and everyone else was pleasant and courteous.
