BEST WESTERN Albany Garden Inn, Albany

Some websites claim that this hotel has a hottub but it doesn't - the cashier told us that they took it out about two years ago. Not only that, but the pool stiill wasn't ready - on Wednesday of Spring Break. Their "complimentary" Continental Breakfast offered from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. was PATHETIC. If anything worth eating even "had" been there at 6:30, it was picked over by 7:30, when only cold cereal remained. They charge $100/night for the basic room, but the available ammenities DO NOT reflect that price. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and my son, who weighs 180 pounds (the heaviest of our family) complained that he felt the floor was yielding to his weight. I didn't feel it when I walked across it, but I could HEAR it when he did. We will never stay here again!

I guess we were there during the slow season as we were interviewing for a job close by. There were plenty of rooms available. The breakfast is excellent, the rooms are extremely clean. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order for you. It is a little pricey is the biggest downfall, but in the middle of winter when the resorts are closed, it is your only option.

very nice indoor pool, clean rooms, very nice management,very good continental breakfast, not many other places to stay near albany.staying there again tomorrow {if they have a vacancy}.
