Super 8 Anna Il, Anna

I came to Anna last week as a spur of the moment thing. Just needed to get away for a while and relax. I was heading south on Hwy 51 when I noticed the Super 8. I stopped in and the was suprized at how FRIENDLY and helpful the staff was. The young lady at the desk, Tiffini, helped me find the perfect place to eat a little chicago style resturant that was decorated amazingly. Then she told me were some good antique shopping was, a great winery, and a saloon to get my hair done. I'm definatly going back to the hotel the on a regular basis to get away from my stressful Job here in Chicago!

First of all I want to say that I had to stay here, because there wasn't any other hotel in the area. I was visiting someone in Jonesboro, IL and this is the only hotel/motel in the area. I have never stayed at a Super 8 Motel and I never will again. We had a suite, but it was just one room with a refrigerator and it had a microwave sitting right on top of it. The carpet was dirty and you could see where they had spotted it when they tried to clean it. The towels were so thin and rough. They didn't have an iron or an ironing board in the room. You could get one from the desk, but it was dirty and the iron didn't work very good. The sheets were thin and dingy and the bedspreads were old and cheap. The bathroom wasn't very clean and all they had was some small bars of soap; no shampoo, etc. I didn't go into the pool at all or the fitness room and I never had the continental breakfast either. The staff was very nice and apologetic, but when I tried to express my concerns to the owner he argued with me telling me the carpet was clean. I needed an envelope and some stationery and I asked him for it. He told me that Super 8 doesn't require him to have stationery in the rooms. It was awful!
