overbookig
By ,
After 40 minutes by tram (from Central Station to Hoekeness) and about 15 minutes by walking we have finally find the hotel. At the reception they told us that something was wrong with our reservation and they have done an overbooking. They send us to Holiday Inn, outside Amsterdam, one hour far from the city center. We were very disspapointed by their services (Tulip Inn), have no one to talk about this problem to fix it, they didn't want to gave our money back or find another hotel nearby, they lie to us (they told us that Holiday Inn was about 5 minutes by walking but this distance was 10 minutes by taxi). We will not recomend this hotel because they are not serious, and it's way too far already from the city center (if you want to visit Amsterdam we recomend you to find a hotel in the center of town). It's unacceptable to find that you don't have a room in that hotel even if you have paid for it one month in advance.

what an experience
By ,
On arrival at the Tulip Inn, we were greeted at front desk by very friendly staff. It was my first time going away with my boyfriend so everything was new to us. The room was average size, very clean & cozy, the bed was very big & comfortable you were provided with shower gels so we didn't have to go out & buy any toiletries. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Schipol Airport & situated in a quiet area which we liked. We got there late in the evening but we didn't care. We did not stay in on our first night we wanted to get a feel of the nightlife so we headed for the city center. The trams stop running after 12 midinght so we had to get a night bus to get back to the hotel. The breakfast is excellent & you get excellent service from all hospitality staff. Everyone is friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful especilly for us as first timers. We will certainly be coming back again to stay at The Tulip Inn. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone who just wants to get away for a chilled out weekend.

Best value in Amsterdam!
By ,
The Tulip Inn is located in a great location, within walking distance of all public transportation. We have stayed there several times and have always had a good experience. You can even rent a Smart Car at the hotel!

Quiet Getaway
By ,
I stayed at this hotel for over a month. It is conveniently located next to the park and art museums. The city trolley stops in fron of the hotel and the main train line is 3 blocks away. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the downtown area but has easy access via trolley to be in the centrum area. There are several restaurants in easy walking distance. It comes with a comlimentary morning breakfast that is very good. There is also a weekend street market 3 blocks away. The park next to it provides nice scenery and the oppertunity to stroll in the evenings. The tropical museums are in easy walking distance and border the park next to the hotel. There is always a cab waiting when in a hurry to get somewhere or if you prefer not to use the trolley. The staff was very courteous and helpfull.
