Best hotel Ive ever stayed in

My husband is in the Military and we never get to see each other. This hotel was last minute we found on priceline. By far the best hotel we've stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few. We stayed in the king size suite. It was way bigger than we thought. Service was great, and room was super clean.

PERFECT LOCATION

WE LOVED THIS HOTEL. IT HAD GREAT AMBIENCE, AND THER QUALITY WAS TOP-NOTCH!! WE WERE THERE FOR CHRISTMAS, AND WALKED TO ALL OF THE MAJOR DOWN-TOWN ATTRACTIONS. THE $3 BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS, AND THE STAFF VERY HELPFUL. WE PLAN TO RETURN IN AUGUST. THS IS GOOD FOR FAMILIES IF THEY CAN FOREGO A SWIMMING POOL!!!

Noisy location, majority of staff friendly except the person who stole from us and the manager who indicated it wasn't possible.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and my birthday and we could not have asked for a better staff, room, or over all appeal. Yes the location of the hotel is not directly on the River Walk but this does not count as a downfall for us, the distance from the hotel to the River Walk was just a few minutes and worth the little drive that was needed. We cannot wait to go back and make this "our" little get-a-way.

Tastefully Done Restoration, Good Location

Kudos to Best Western for the restoration job on this hotel. The arts and crafts interior construction and furnishings were tastefully done and very true to the era (lighting, paint colors, fabrics, decorations). The bed was very comfortable, the room large, sofa comfy and the sink, fridge and microwave were an added extra. Loved the ironing board hidden in a "beadboard" style closet...so typical of the arts & craft period. The service was good. Although I did not have a problem with it, I think that due to some area construction, parking was an issue for some guests. Loved the train sounds. I will be back and will recommend the hotel to others.

This was the most ejoyable stay i ever had in my live, the staff was the most helpfull and friendly,they made my stay unforgetable, the facility is just exellent, cleanliness beyong spectations, y will definetly recomend this Hotel.

Wonderful Hotel

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was located a couple of blocks from the Rivercenter Mall and the Riverwalk. We rode the "Via" to an event at the SBC Center and it took us like 10 minutes to get there from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were soooo comfortable, it was hard getting up in the morning. The only two things that could have been a little better was the breakfast and the elevators. The breakfast was horrible and the elevators were sooooo slow. It took forever to get to our room on the fourth floor. Even though you could hear the train sometimes at night, it only lasted a couple of minutes and was not very loud. Other than that we had a nice stay and would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Stay

Usually a critic of Best Western hotels and such, my stay at the Sunset Suites was excellent. The interior was newly rennovated and in immaculate shape. The hotel incorporates a great combination of historic feel and modern amenities, not to mention the best continental breakfast I've seen.
