Making A Reservation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/11
My husband and I haven't had a real vacation in 10+ years and we plan on visiting the Chatanooga area from Nov. 23 - Nov. 27 of this year. We haven't a lot of money and want to make the most of our vacation. My husband works long days and hours and I wanted to make sure I found a clean, comfortable hotel with good beds and service. It is important to me that he enjoys this time and gets some much needed rest. I called to make my reservation and spoke to Nick ( Guest Services Manager). He has been so helpful and informative. After looking at hotels, reveiws and making several phone calls to various hotels in the Chatanooga area, we have decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The cost was a little more than we wanted to spend but after speaking with Nick and finding him to be so helpful and professional I think we have made the right decision. Since we were planning on staying through Thanksgiving and didn't know where we would have our dinner, I asked Nick for help. Nick went on Google and searched out some restaurants and telephone numbers for me. He recommended two places that he has had Thanksgiving dinner which helped again in making our decision on our dinner. I am a property manager, and I know that the first initial contact that a customer has with you on the phone is VERY important, and I know that Nick gets that. I plan on writting another review after our visit. Thanks again Nick see you soon. Leona

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/8/09
I loved the fact that they were so centrally located and i could just park at the hotel then walk or use the free shuttle to all the wonderful attractions. The staff was exceptionally wonderful and willing to help. I will definately be back!

I stayed here in summer of 07 and it was a treat.last week we returned and found service and cleaniness was terrible.when we complained about the lack of cleaniness, such as hair in sheets and all over bath room floor when we checked in nothing was done.the manager never returned our calls .We feel like HIlton is declining in cleaniness and service!

A very pleasant surprise!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/07
I have travelled for work throughout the States, Canada and Europe, and I don't think I would be exaggerating if I said this was the nicest hotel stay I've had in a looooong time. You can't compare it to specialty boutique hotels but for a chain, it was a relief to step into this place. The surrounding area is very well maintained and quaint, the grounds are nice to look at, the interior is stylish and comfortable, and the room was fantastic to come home to every night of my stay. It was spacious, impeccable, had every feature I needed for comfort including a kitchenette area, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I used the pool facilities every day and was pleased by the cleanliness of the area, and the business center made it very easy to access the internet and a printer at any time of day. Although I didn't partake of the hotel dining room, I hear from other guests that the food was great. I myself partook of the several fantastic restaurants within a two-block radius of the hotel - particularly the Big River Grill (a terrific brew pub). Lastly, the service was fabulous - everyone from the desk clerk to the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. For my first trip down to this particular area of the States, I had an extremely pleasant stay, and would definitely reocommend this hotel to others.

Interesting
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/05
Our room smelled so strongly of strawberry air freshner that they smell stuck to us after we left. Our room was never clean, did not have a top sheet on the bed and we had to call for wash clothes both days we stayed in the hotel. They also charge you for parking in an open bad parking lot behind the hotel, which you had to walk through grass shin high to reach your car! While it is in downtown, be sure to explore your options...and maybe even pay $10 more.

Nice but better options out there
By Warren T., 5/16/05
Well I like the Hotel over all. It was downtown and nice to be able walk out front door and be in the downtown area. Rooms were clean and customer service was very nice. Now after thinking about my weekend I did not like the cost of the hotel. I mean they did not provide a free breakfast for people who were staying in the hotel. I did not like the fact they charged me $5.00 a day to park my car in their parking lot. One of the biggest reasons I stayed downtown, who wants the hassel of driving in a strange city.(do not worry it is a easy town to get around I see now). I did not like being charged $0.50 just to make a local phone call to order some food. Downtown does not have any type of 7-11(some kind of city code I was told by some locals) to buy snacks, so the hotel has provided a small area to purchase items but for example a can of coke was $1.00! The hotel was just full of little charges every where. On my last day I actually read the parking lot sign and it said "$4.00 for all day parking and $5.00 for event parking" I guess staying in that hotel was a event. If I had gone out and party in the evening hours it would have been nice, not to have to drive home but I did not, so I would have preferred to stay out of downtown area for a cheaper hotel and drive into and park every day. Plus have the ability to run into a 7-11 for a soda and a pack of smokes.
