A Nice Change
By Tammie Gaskins, 7/19/10
This is indeed a place we will stay again when we are in the area. Great price, real people, comfortable and clean what more could you ask for? More like staying with friends than staying at a hotel. After a long day and several disappointments, we arrived to find some of the friendliest people. The couple that take care of the front office were not only friendly, but they are REAL people. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We found this to be a very refreshing change from the corporate crap you deal with at many of the larger chains. The room we stayed in had a fridge, microwave, ice cold air, wifi, and a great shower.

Horrid. Absolutely awful.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/5/10
Want an oven? You do? Then bring your own burners. No microwave, but a full size refrigerator is there, blocking a light switch. There's a smell permeating the entire place. It's not a good one. The windows don't open, you can leave the door open if you want some ventilation. Don't make reservations online, they're not connected to the office, you'll be sleeping on the street.

DEFINITELY BAIT AND SWITCH TRICK AT THE MOTEL
By Theodora, 1/16/10
I was shown a lovely room when making reservations for my daughter. When my daughter arrived that room was "taken". She was given a horrible, dirty, buggy, worn out room. There were no appliances and I had to stay there and keep asking for refrig, microwave, coffe pot, etc. while one at a time was brought in. My daughter stuck out one night, then had to leave. She was sick with allergies from the dirty room. I wrote to the BBB, but they still will not return the night's fee.

We had a very nice stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/09
We chose Atlantic Inn out of the Traveller magazine as it seemed to be good value for money. We read the reviews posted about this Inn and almost decided not to even go and look at it but we were glad we did. One previous reviewer said it must have changed hands because the previoous reviews had been so awful, and I can confirm that I asked how long the current managers had been there and I think they said approximately nine months. Although it was not, perhaps, 5-star quality, it was more than adequate for our needs and was very clean. The fridge and microwave were very useful, too. The road noise was very minimal and did not bother us at all. There are, however, a couple of relatively minor things they might want to consider: There really needs to be some sort of hand hold in the bath/shower as a lot of disabled people need something to steady themselves when having a shower. Although the vertical blinds are very good, there is about a 1-inch gap on either side which could allow someone to see in/out - although it is not very likely (there were no curtains at the window). As we were visiting friends in the Melbourne/Indiatlantic area, it was very handy for us and I think we would definitely stay there again.

Things must have changed
By Evelyn, 4/16/09
This hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very kind.  They are remodling and it looks great! I would recoment this hotel to everyone. The pool was very clear, and the spa was quite refreshing. I never lot signal with the wireless internet and the cable did't go off even though it rained one day of our stay.  There was a great little Italian resturant right there.  From the second floor we had our coffee and watched the waves roll in. One of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had.We will be back in 6 months

I second "the worst ever"
By Scott Hruska, 10/10/08
To say this place is a dive would be generous, to say it is a Flea Bag would be accurate. The Indian man which in only important because of his lack of english, which runs the place barely speaks English and if you are discussing a problem (like Fleas) you can’t understand anything he says. I threw my card key on the desk and stomped out only to find that he was charging the full day rate when we agreed to a monthly rate for the time I was there. When I took the room he asked this question: Do you mind if people go in your room? I said no I did not want people going in my room. That meant to him that he did not need to provide maid service. He is a jerk and his place is a %@#!hole. Stay there if you love the smell of mold and you don’t mind sharing the room with Florida’s bugs.

The Absolute Worst Motel Ever
By Rhonda E, 5/6/08
What did we dislike?? UH.. EVERYTHING!!!! TOTALLY DISGUSTING... mold growing on walls, ants in bathroom... Oh and as a native Floridian, I got to hear the phrase "every place in Florida smells"... Yeah right. We should have had a clue when the little man had the door locked and slid the Dairy-Queen style window open with the fabulous and now infamous phrase "do you have any reservations" at which I bellowed "Yes.. and they are all about staying here". So bad, three years later it still holds the record IN MY COMPANY as the worst hotel (and this includes INDIA!!!!!) The only thing that makes this worth it is that we (co-workers, bf, family, friends) have gotten more than $100.00 worth of laughs out of it. It's funny now... wasn't funny then.

dirty
By Jessika, 1/18/06
The rooms were very dirty, with a moldy stench. The service was rude, and unhelpful. They seemed to have better things to do than help guest.
