Nice accomodations-Poor Service-No Food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/11
What a nightmare trying to have breakfast with nothing to eat as early as at 8am. The smell of food (no offense but sounded very Indian) is all over the place and unbearable. There was nothing to eat for breakfast, tables were dirty and no staff to clean. It's sad to say but this place ruins Hyatt's reputation for me. I do love the room and accomodations. Oops, and coffee smelled so bad and the color was so light - it appeared as the machine was run through the same filter/coffee multiple times. Sorry, off to have breakfast elsewhere. Happy New Year.

wasting money and holiday time!
By Guest, 6/2/11
strong bad smell of food every where all the time, even in your bed! lots of noise from backyard, of families coming with lots of kids! and the 24hrs noise of heavy transportations from adjacent highway. POOR service , not any professional in their guest service and front desk. I couldnt have any breakfast at all. low quality and strong fried smell kills appetite! I would never visit this place again!

What an amazing summer stay!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/3/09
Our family stayed here at the end of july, and it was so good! The hotel is close to Legoland and they even drove us there with their shuttle for free. we got special price tickets too. The beach was within walking distance and the water was so warm and refreshing. We are from Stockton, and the beach was a treat. The hotel had a nice pool, breakfast, and even drinks at night! Our room was always clean, and the housekeepers were always cleaning the rest of the hotel. Everyone that worked there was really nice too. They were always helping us find food to eat, give directions to stuff to do, whatever we wanted, they helped. Our family was there for 3 nights, but we wish we could have stayed for much longer. We will definatly be back next summer!!

Moderate Price - Very convenient to Legoland
By FrederickR, 3/21/06
The location is excellent if you want to go to Legoland. Convenient shuttle service so there is no cost to pay to park once at Legoland. The room was very clean and the kitchenette was very handy while travelling with 5 & 7 year old children. We get tired of eating out, so this offered a refridge/micro to make simple foods. Pool was small, but nice. Beds were very uncomfortable with basic linens. Outside of the beds, I would stay here again since the other amenities were worthwhile.

My girlfriend and I loved the modern decor in the spacious suite. Very clean and smelled so fresh. Didn't want to leave the room! Friendly staff and very nice buffet.

Perfect for families
By marinemom, 9/13/05
The spacious room was a great place for our family to unwind after spending a day traveling. The breakfast was so bountiful, it was nice to eat at the Inn instead of having to pack up the whole crew and look for a restaurant. Because of the time, we didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities that were offered such as the pool and weight room. It was close to the Marine base and to Lego Land.

An enjoyable two night stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/05
We found this hotel to be a comfortably appointed, spacious, well maintained facility. We'd chosen this hotel for it's closeness to the Carlsbad Flower Gardens. We stayed during a weekend in spring, and though many families with children were present, we 'emptynesters' were able to enjoy two quiet nights. The A/C worked fine once we got it programed to our needs. This hotel is very well insulated; we heard no noise from the nearby freeway and business park. Also convienent was the online accessable computer, and copier in the lobby area. Our room was equipped for handicapped persons, it seemed quite spacious for those needs. We would have preferred fitted sheets on the beds. We felt our stay here was enjoyable and we would choose this hotel again. --A couple of middle aged folks.

New hotel offers little
By Mike Lee, 9/7/04
This new cookie cutter hotel is clean, but lacks any charm or reason to make a return visit. The rooms are clean, hotel is relatively new, and has easy access to the freeway, Carlsbad beaches and LegoLand.

The pool is mediocre, with little room to lounge. The hotel is also adjacent to what looks like a Nuclear Power Plant. The locals tell me that it's a water treatment plant, but the six legged frog I saw hopping through the parking lot, didn't help ease my anxiety ;)
