Sundy House, Delray Beach

We were extremely happy with this location for our wedding this past weekend. The cottage suite we stayed in was wonderful and so large, large enough for my bridal party to get ready in.. All the guests loved the food, and it is a magical atmosphere. The upper pond area where we got married was perfect, and the Sundy house staff did a great job getting all of my bridal glasses, flowers, etc. back to my room at the end of the night. Tom who coordinated my wedding was very friendly and helpful.

nice job craig,steve, both fired... as marco your a wife and child beater.. over all kitchen is very dirty, rats and mice all over the place, droppings in the food... mice in the gues rooms. the only good thing is the gardens and swimming lake/pool. gm made 78,600.00 plus 20k in bonus in 2009.....ps i used to work there.

We just visited the Sunday House for their Sunday brunch. It was a special occasion and our second visit to their brunch program. The group in front of us had their reservation lost and it took three hotel staffers and the manager to work the issue loudly in front of us while we waited. Our reservation was for 11:30. We didn't sit down until close to 12 noon. The three women working the reception desk were clueless and each had a different story about the delay. We requested outdoor seating when we made the reservation and were told when we got there it was not available. A group that came in behind us -- same size as ours -- was seated immediately while we waited. If you make a reservation, don't trust it. The food was OK, and our server was pleasant, but the manager that I spoke to was worthless. Their operations are terrible, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing and they don't seem to care about making it bettter. We won't be going back

As I am reading through these other reviews of the Sundy House I am completely shocked! My husband and I stayed at the Sundy House 2 weeks ago and we loved it! The rooms are very elegant and romantic. The swimming pond was so much fun. We really enjoyed swimming with the fishes. It was a nice new experience. The food at the restaurant was amazing! We would recommend the Tapas which we were told changes every night. It was outstanding. The Sundy House was well worth the money and we would recommend it to anyone.

This used to be Delray Beaches' hidden gem. Now it is a joke!! The place is dirty. The gardens that used to be immaculate are now overgrown and messy looking. The staff are rude and don't seem to care. Obviously new management has done a poor job at keeping up with what was once a spectacular place. All the good people have left them. A shame. I will never go back there. I will instead keep the memory of what it once was.

My fiance and I are in the midst of trying plan a wedding here and are experiencing exactly what I've been reading. This hotel could care less if you stay there or not. I'm not sure if it is inept staff or a case of the hotel resting on how beautiful it looks. I'm currently looking elsewhere. Be warned: Do not take anyone working here, in person or over the phone, at their word!

Was given a gift certificate and we didn't use right away as we had been to the hotel before for dining and weddings and thought the food and service deplorable and very overpriced!! Found it and asked if it would still be honoured and was told no the monies involved were forfeited due to expiration. I feel ripped off!!!!!!!! There are so many better places in So. Florida that really care,look around before trusting an important event in your life with these sharks.

My husband and I were married at Sundy House in August 2004, and we booked the entire inn for our friends and family. The staff were gracious and efficient; the rooms were spectacular, each professionally decorated with its own unique theme; breakfast arrived in a picnic basket every morning with fresh fruit, pastries, and frappucino; the garden and upper pond are a tropical paradise; the food at the De La Tierra restaurant is 5-star. An unforgettable place, for those discerning travellers who want to spoil themselves. We are customers for life! A wonderful wedding venue. Unforgettable!

We stayed on 2 separate occasions. Rooms were OK, but music was too loud coming from the bar and also a wedding reception that went on until midnight kept us up. Unable to sleep in late because of Sunday brunch w/loud people & a band. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE & too expensive. Got ill from eating their fish.
