SpringHill Suites by Marriott Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne

Stayed with my wife and son. The rooms are good and large enough, had a king suite, the kitchenette with microwave and fridge / sink is nice. The sofabed was not too comfortable my son said. the king bed was great.. sorry son. Breakfast was VERY good.. tho it can get busy around 7:30 Only problem we had was a stopped up toilet that even after four times plunging never worked good.

Our family spent 2 nights at this hotel (two seniors in our suite, and our son & daughter-in-law & their two small sons in another) & want to tell the world what a wonderful experience it was. The suites were as lovely as the lobby (which is rarely the case) and exceptionally clean, with plenty of towels & toiletries. The beds were very comfortable. Every staff member we saw during our stay was cordial and helpful and, when we ran into one tiny snag with our suite, they went out of their way to make it right immediately, and could not have been more apologetic. They helped us with directions to local restaurants (there is no restaurant in the hotel), shopping, tourist attractions, and even took time to converse with the little ones, making them feel special too ! The complimentary breakfast was as complete as any we've seen, and the attendant worked diligently to keep every item stocked. We've been to many, many hotels over the years, and have never bothered to write a review, but our experience here was so pleasant, we just had to do this one. Thanks for a wonderful stay !

This hotel lied to us. We made a reservation by phone for a room with a king-sized bed and that is what they promised.. They sent an email confirming the king bed and then sent a reminder email a few days before our arrival again confirming the king bed. On arrival, we were given a room with two double beds and when we complained to the manager we were told that they consider the king bed only a request. We consider it a lie! To make matters worse, the beds were way too soft. We’ll never stay there again.

WE WERE ATTENDING A CONFERENCE DOWNTOWN NEAR THE LA AIRPORT. WE WANTED TO STAY SOMEWHERE GOOD. THIS HOTEL HAD A GREAT PRICE. IT WAS SUPER CLEAN. SAFE LOCATION.FREE PARKING.FREE INTERNET IN THE ROOM.WHICH IS ALWAYS A PLUS. THEY ONLY HAD ONE COMPUTER, SO ITS GOOD TO BRING A LAPTOP. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

very good value.. nothing too fancy, but everything you need. wonderful staff, clean and covenient. close to the airport I will stay there again for sure.

Close to LAX but far enough not to have to pay for breakfast or parking (things we detest with other hotels). We loved the location, close to the freeway, shopping and restaurants. Family friendly hotel and location. Definately will stay there again when in the LA area. Worth the price!!!

This hotel is very good in it's service and room. Very big, clean room with 2 televisions and a small kitchen. I will stay here again if I visit LA next time. The location is also very good a propos LAX, but poor for backpacker getting into LA downtown :p

This is a great place to stay especially if you need to get to LAX. Rooms are spacious, clean. The beds are very comfortable and you also get a free hi-speed internet connection. Manhattan Beach is about 5mins drive and has lots of great restaurants.

The only thing I would change about this hotel, is for the breakfast to be 30 minutes earlier; for those of us on business, it's nice to be able to eat a bit earlier so we can hit the 405 commute before it gets too chaotic. Other than that, the breakfast was very nice, the rooms clean, nice big bathroom, and little kitchenette. The price was very reasonable, especially for LA.
