The sheets were the worst, they weren't even put on properly put on the bed, had stains on them.... there were hairs in the bathroom..... I have been to london, paris, NY, Vegas, Australia and Peru as well as many other places all over the world and never paid as much as they charge here for such poor quality! .... I was with a group and 3 others in different rooms had similar experiences. No complimentary coffee in the lobby. Not worth the money.

I HAVE BEEN VISITING DOVER DOWNS CASINO FOR MANY YEARS NOW BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS PAST WEEKEND...TAKES THE FRICKING CAKE! I WAS CUSSED OUT, CALLED A F'ING B***H AND THEN ASSAULTED (2) TWICE BY A CUSTOMER WHO WAS PISSED OFF FOR LOSING $300 IN A MACHINE. I HAD PUSHED THE CHANGE BUTTON ONCE HE STARTED CUSSING & CALLING ME NAMES TO TRY TO GET SECURITY BUT SECURITY NEVER MADE IT THERE IN TIME, INSTEAD I GOT A CHANGE LADY WHO STOOD IN FRONT OF THE MAN TRYING TO KEEP HIM AWAY FROM ME AND HE SMACKED MY HAND DOWN AS I WAS TELLING HIM TO STOP CUSSING ME AND THEN HE BOUNCED AROUND HER AND WACKED ME ON MY LEFT EAR. THEY HAD 4 POLICE OFFICERS AND ALL THAT SECURITY IN THAT PLACE AND NONE OF THEM SHOWED UP UNTIL AFTER HE HIT ME. I WAS SO PISSED OFF THAT I CUSSED AND CALLED HIM NAMES AFTER HE HIT ME ON MY LEFT EAR AND TRIED TO GET A HOLD OF HIM AND HIT HIM BACK BUT DIDN'T WANT TO HURT THE LADY IN BETWEEN US EITHER. DOVER POLICE ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST HIM FOR HITTING ME AND I TOLD THEM I DID. I WENT DOWN TO THE PD TO FILE CHARGES TO FIND OUT A FEW HOURS LATER FROM A PHONE CALL FROM THE POLICE DEPT. THAT IF I PRESSED CHARGES AGAINST HIM FOR ASSAULT. THE POLICE OFFICER SAID HE WAS GOING TO PUT A WARRANT OUT FOR MY ARREST FOR "DISORDERLY CONDUCT IN PUBLIC" AS WELL AS FOR HIM. EVENTHOUGH THEY REVIEWED THE CAMERAS AND SAW HIM ASSAULT ME TWICE AND I NEVER HIT HIM AT ALL. SO I GUESS IF YOU ARE A FEMALE WHO GETS ASSAULTED BY A MALE AFTER HE HAS CUSSED & CALLED YOU NAMES THEN YOU CAN NOT CALL HIM ANY NAMES BACK ONCE HE ASSAULTS YOU BECAUSE THEN HE WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR ASSAULT OR DISORDERLY CONDUCT....YOU WILL BE TOLD THAT YOU WILL BE CHARGED WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT AS WELL. BASICALLY THEY ARE SAYING HIM ASSAULTING ME IS EQUAL TO ME CALLING HIM A NAMES AFTER I WAS ASSAULTED. TALK ABOUT FRICKING BS! I HAVE MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHO GO THERE AND I WILL MAKE SURE THEY STOP GOING AS WELL. I WILL MISS VISITING MY FRIENDS WHOM I TALKED TO AFTERWARDS AND THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT HE WAS NOT BEING CHARGED. I CONSIDER MYSELF A FRIENDLY PERSON BUT WHEN YOU CROSS THE LINE BY HITTING ME IN THE EAR...YOU DESERVE JUST WHAT YOU GOT CALLED! I HAVE NO REGRETS EITHER! SO THE OFFICER TOLD ME TO JUST "LET IT GO"! THEN I WOULDN'T BE ARRESTED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND HE WOULDN'T BE ARRESTED FOR ANYTHING EITHER! THE POLICE OFFICER TOLD ME THAT HE IS BARRED FROM THERE AND I TOLD HIM THAT WAS BS THAT PEOPLE GET BARRED FROM GOING IN THESE PLACES ALL THE TIME FOR BEATING ON THE MACHINES UNTIL THEY BREAK AND THEN A FEW WEEKS OR MONTHS LATER YOU SEE THEM RIGHT BACK IN THERE BECAUSE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING MONEY! I HAVE HAD PEOPLE FOLLOW ME AROUND TRYING TO PICK UP ON ME AND HIT ME UP FOR MONEY THERE MANY TIMES BEFORE BUT NEVER HAD ANYONE HIT ME BEFORE. ALL OF MY FRIENDS FROM THERE AND OTHER CASINOS KNOW ME VERY WELL AND KNOW THAT I HAVE NEVER STARTED ANY TROUBLE WITH ANYONE, EVER! THEY ALL KNOW THAT I AM A FREINDLY PERSON AND ENJOY SEEING AND TALKING TO ME EVERY VISIT WHETHER I WIN OR LOSE! IF PEOPLE CAN'T HANDLE GAMBLING! (WHICH INCLUDES LOSING TOO)LOL THEN STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE CASINOS. I HOPE FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS WHO GO THERE THAT THEY WILL FIX THERE FLAWS IN THE SECURITY SYSTEM SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. THERE SHOULD BE A BUTTON ON THOSE MACHINES THAT GOES DIRECTLY TO SECURITY!

was assaulted right on floor. dover did nothing about it. i will never be back feel very unsafe there. staff was uncareing as well as dover police. If people can't stand to lose money at these casinos then stay home don't take it out on other people who are there for a good time.

well, first of all i liver in reno and lasvegas for years and went to the casinos 5 times a week.well i drove from newport news va to dover last night 4 hours so i could play some video poker. there were no nickel poker just quarter and up. i put $250. in bills in the machine and played for 2 hours.the best hand i got was a straight flush. never saw 3 2s !!!!! those machines were so tight, they were as tight as a frogs a$$ and thats water tight. what a joke. i will never go back even if they paid me to. the next time i will drive the extra 3 hours and go to atlantic city.please dont waste your time here..any questions please dont hesatate to email me at the mangler101@aol.com also in that time i got 1 drink from the drink lady and the coffee was nasty. pre made coffee and softdrinks only. and when my bill got stuck in the machine the change lady just as good as called me a lier and had to get the security guy to come over and see that the last bill was a 20 and the one under it was a five. and the machine showed a $5 credit. also i asked 5 employes where the video poker room was and the all sent me to the 3rd floor. WRONG PLACE !!!!!!! like i said what a joke

The entire Dover Downs staff are warm & courteous. Everyone from management to the friendly wait staff, to include housekeeping. Its very refreshing to be greeted so warmly upon your arrival! A four star hotel greets you with so much to do. Clean & spacious rooms await you with large flat screens & lots of channel selections. The food at the cafe and the bar and buffet are all delicious. Dover Downs has wonderfully large large rooms and you won't be dissapointed by the the service. The food is excellent. Chef Kaye is at the helm in the kitchen and he certainly delivers every time. Try the wonderful buffet selections & you'll be pleasantly surprised. The D.D. hotel gym offers quite a few pieces of work out equipment and the facility is clean and includes an indoor pool & saunas. This facility is definitely a plus for those great workouts and the pool is a great time for the kids. Thanks for making our wk-end getaways memorable...we'll be back this winter.

The employees are very nice. From the moment you get there until you leave. They have excellent food facilities - you can sit down in luxury or get a hot dog at the deli. I was very surprised the first time I checked into the hotel and found bowls of apples, as a snack, as the desk. Nice gesture.

Nothing really. Everything was perfect. Maybe the downstairs bar was somewhat "unfriendly" and did not have stuff to make my pomagrantit martini, but I survived. I loved it all, and want to go back.

It was a pleasant enough stay. The room service menu was very limited, though the breakfast we ordered in room was great. The service at the desk was good and our requests were granted. Unfortunately, there was a false fire alarm at 8 a.m. in the morning, though I doubt that was the fault of the hotel. The view of the track was great. We'd do it again. P.S. We did not go to the casino as we're not slots fans. The charge for internet in the room was a surprise. We didn't use that either.

My husband (who is terminally ill) and I visited the hotel recently. Traveling was on our list of things to do together while we still had the opportunity. Dover is close to our home. Although I inquired about whether we would be able to check-in if arriving before 4:00 and told we could, the story was completely different when we arrived. Even after explaining to the desk staff and manager on duty that my husband had some health issues that needed to be immediately taken care of, their only response was "the room would not be ready for another 45 minutes" and "check-in time is between 4 and 8 pm." We waited the 45 minutes only to be told it would be another 15-30 minutes before a room would be ready. We had asked for a handicap room but at this point was willing to take whatever was available. Again, told nothing would be available for about 30 minutes. It was over an 1 1/2 hours before we were able to get into a room. The staff was rude and unconcerned about our dilemma, except for one clerk named Jack. He apologized for the inconvenience and inquired about the health of my husband. (Thank you again, Jack.) We were pleased with the size and quality of the room we finally got, although the daily cleaning was average at best. We did like having the convenience of easy access to the casino and the restaurants. We found the food to be very good in each of the places we dined in. It is mainly because of the behavior of the staff that we would give this hotel less than a 4-star rating. The staff could benefit from training in customer relations.

The staff was great and the service also. Loved having the casino and horse races all under one building. \ Will always stay here when in the area. Only wish they had a pool outside.
