Comfort Suites O Hare Airport, Schiller Park

The hotel itself was nice, and the room was clean and well kept and large enough for our family of five. The person at the front desk was somewhat rude and discourteous. The rest of the hotel staff did not seem very competent. I called to the front desk for towels three times, and finally walked to a cart down the hall and took them myself. The breakfast was not very good and too crowded. However, for the price this was a decent place to stay, but I'll look elsewhere first.

Went to this hotel during the HHBacker Pet Convention in October 2007. Pros & Cons: -Shuttle service from O'Hare to hotel is on request from the courtesy phones. But the shuttle took some time for pick-up. -Shuttle service to the convention centre was poorly coordinated as required more drivers and vehicles for this event and had to wait as there were no scheduled times to leave. -Rooms are unique in that it is rectangular in design where you enter to the sitting area then the bathroom and then the room. The furnishes need to overalled as the appearance is very outdated. -For breakfast, you had better reach early as items are not restocked and will run out. They give you a bit of work making your own waffles. The breakfast area was next to the bar area and persons were smoking inside and this was carrying over to the breakfast area. -The rooms were cheap and tacky but then again it was only to sleep at night and thus the tackiness maybe overlooked. -If you are travelling in the early morning make sure to call and confirm a shuttle departure time. Even though there are suppose to have a 24 hr shuttle service to the airport this is not necessarily true. We wanted to leave the hotel at 5am to the airport and had contacted the front desk from the night before and there was no driver scheduled to provide shuttle service. The front desk wanted us to take a cab at our expense. Luckily a driver came early to their shift. -Customer service is severely lacking down to the receipt you get where the front desk person tears the letter size paper in half to conserve on paper

My last stay at this location was all around horrible because of incompetence. Check in was difficult because of lack of experience of the new staff. They did not put in my Choice rewards on my bill which I asked three times. They did not have any shampoo in the hotel that ran out two weeks prior to my stay. I ordered dinner (fish) at the hotel bar which was uneatable due to the fact that it was microwaves and raw on the outside. Plus the fish was so old that it smelled rancid. It took an hour wait to get this too. The best part was that they at the least agreed that the fish was bad and didn't try to state it otherwise. The bar tender apologized for it, which was nice. It is sad to see a great place go down in quality. I have stayed here many times before but I will never go back.

The staff was very accomodating. I was able to get an early check-in. I arrived to Chicago at about 8:30 AM. They dropped me off at a restaurant on the way from the airport so I could have breakfast and picked me up to take me to the hotel. The room was great and has wireless internet. There were some nice little neighborhood sandwich and pizza shops in walking distance. In general a very good hotel.

Rooms were comfortable, people were nice and had convenient transportation to O'Hare. In addition, the hotel was right next door to a restaurant that served an excellent hamburger. Price was also reasonable.

We arrived to find that a problem with a broken bed only left us with two choices in our rooms - a room above the bar that didn't have the bed configuration I had paid for or a smoking room. With small children, these were not attractive choices. I would not recommend this hotel.
