Wingate by Wyndham Indianapolis Airport-Rockville Rd., Indianapolis

Upon arriving there I noticed the hotel must be full as there wasn't a parking spot to be had and they were even allowing guest to park in the emergency and fire lanes.... Not good in case of an emergency as far as safety!!! Upon check-in it was a bit slow however the lady was extremely nice and I asked if we could park at SAMs club and she said no problem. However, I noticed a very musty smell throughout the hotel. For someone that doesn't usually smell anything it was very strong and noticeable. Upon entering the room seemed very clean but looked a little dingy as there was water damange on the ceiling that looked as though it was thrown back together! As I went to get into bed I noticed a stain on my pillow. Yuck!!! As we got up the next morning we all went to get showers(very poor design) as we all slipped and my dad who is 52 fell backwards and hurt himself pretty bad!! As my mother went to dry her hair the dryer was broke. So I went to the front desk and they seemed to not care about anything that morning as no hair dryer and when I told him my father had fallen he didn't care. After getting ready we went down to eat and the food was cold or water logged the bisicits still half froze... Absolutely disgusting!! Overall I've stayed worse but definitely never payed this kind of money for this poor of quality...

Me and My sister stayed her in May during the time of the 500 festival. We really enjoyed the hot tub after the run. The breakfeast was great. The rooms were really nice and the young man that greeted us was wonderful and very helpful. It was a short drive and took us straight down town to the festival. Within minutes we were there. Also if you go to the west there is a whole other experience of shopping and food within minutes of the hotel. Overall it was a really great time and we plan to do it again next year for the mini.

My wife and I were very pleased with the size of the room! The king sized bed was huge, we want a bed that size for our bedroom at home, but we don't think it will fit. The indoor pool was quite cold, but the whirlpool made up for it. A short drive from everything that we wanted to do while staying in the Indy area, The speedway museum, zoo, and children's museum. My wife said next time we stay in the Indy area we should stay at the Wingate again!

When we got there, we checked in and discussed the low rate we'd gotten for the hotel. When we were told they had a hospital rate for Riley's Hospital, we were bummed because that's why we were there. The clerk said that she was sorry, but she couldn't do anything about it. However, the next morning when they put the receipt at our door, the discounted rate had been applied!! I was almost in tears!! Not only that, but it was quiet and the front desk clerk even gave us milk for our cookies for the kids' bedtime snack. And the kids and my husband enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We had the pool all to ourselves!! Thanks so much Liz!!

This is the second time I've written a review because my first review was "mysteriously removed". I guess if you give a negative review it is removed. Well here I go again. On our way back home from Florida we stopped over night at this hotel, The Wingate. First we were given a recently flooded room(room 113). We walked in after registering and the smell gagged me in the throat. We got settled and then I noticed from the waterline on the baseboard, and caved in drywall and along with brown staining that we most definitely needed to get a different room. I found out from the clerk that room 113 had received water damage from a overflowed toilet from the room directly above. Why they would had allowed that room (health hazard) to be used shows poor judgement from the management. Later that evening, 1:15 am we received a call from the front desk. We were asked to go down to the desk because our car along with 5 other cars had their car windows smashed. The policeman gave us a victim report and left. It was Saturday night/Sunday morning and we had the task of finding a window repairman over the weekend. After many phone calls (Yellow pages) we found a man to come out to repair our window so we could continue on our way home. The hotel, along with Wyndham corporate was non-responsive to our plight. They just didn't care. I also found out from a employee that the same thing had happened the weekend before and that this seemed to be the trend on most weekends. The window repairman told us that this is a "bad" neighborhood for this sort of vandalism. Since this incident happened(mid June '08), we have not received any sort of positive response from the hotel or Corporate Management. Stay here at your own risk...you have been warned.

Pool very cold, the very from all rooms located on the front side is a liquor store and a funeral home, staff are not nice at all, beds are lumpy, bathrooms are old and run down, doors slam all night long.

It was like walking into a family members house. I was treated like I was the only guest here (and they did that for everyone else too). I really like the rooms. I will be back.
