Great Central Location~~

Three of us just returned from our stay in London. We had booked Club Quarters St. Paul through a booking agent who told us it was a great place to stay. Unfortunately, it's right in the center of the financial district so on weekends, all the pubs and restaurants in that vacinity are closed. However, just a few blocks of walking takes you to Covent Gardens and Piccadilly Circus, where there are loads of places to shop, eat and drink. The hotel itself offered a nice lounge with three computers & free internet service. The hotel was very neat and clean as were the rooms. They weren't large but a double would easily accommodate two persons. There was a restaurant right next to the restaurant that offered breakfast and dinner but was not open on Sunday. The hotel only offered coffee or tea. The only problem we had was the wake-up call. We had a taxi picking us up at 6 a.m. for our flight out of Heathrow. We asked the front desk the previous evening to call us at 5 a.m. and at 5:15 a.m. just to make sure we got up. Assuming that was going to happen, we didn't set our own alarm clock. At 5:42 a.m., we got our 5 a.m. wake-up call. Needless to say, we had 18 minutes to get ready and get downstairs for our cab. We made it but not without forgetting a few important items. Aside from that major error, everything else was great.
