Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Oshkosh, Oshkosh

We arrived for X-mas as we have in the past. I got rooms for my family. No front desk persons,the rate was quoted for military rate and was charged another. My family drove several hours to a place that had no housekeeeping, the room service from the restaurant was gross,and sat outside my room for a day and a half. The breakfast was beyond disgusting..The orange juice was the water concentrate with no orange..We were told "not my section." No coffee, and there wasn't any food that was ok for anyone. When this was owned by Hawthorn this was a 5 star place. It is nothing now. We have been guest's here for the E.A.A. and not 1 person at Wyhdam knew what it was. They think Oshkosh is a dump and that's how they want to treat those that visit it. I'm going to list the names of the "managers," at Wyhdam that said they would fix these problems, and comp our meal, and take care of the rate adjustment. SILENA, BRETT, MELANIE, JIM, ROXANNE, KATHY, TERRI, JENNIFER, PATRICIA,BRENDA, AND JOHN. John today told me to more or less shove off and they weren't doing anything. Here is their number 1-888-775-3379 So if you want to stay at a place that will give you a case number,and not resolve anything, have no housekeeping your entire stay, and a filthy pool,along with a gross breakfast that could land you in the E.R..then this is your place. Keep in mind all E.A.A persons that have booked a room at over $290. per night, you should get out while the getting is good. Wyndham's stock is on a buy..I wouldn't invest...Where are all of you when your'e not staying in......"what they think is a rinky dink town," after the E.A.A. ? You are global and that's where Wyndham is buying up hotels to ruin your next stay. Good luck...this hotle was good 1 year ago, now it's garbage. I have other guest's I met during my stay that are posting that they had no housekeeping and they couldn't believe how bad this got. One family traveled 6 plus hours for this, and were also and given a different rate. There are no excuses for all the poor management in this company. Zero team work, and not 1 person would take responsibility for anything.

This hotel has stood beautifully along the highway for 6 or 7 years and this was the first time I step foot in the place. What a mistake I had made all those years driving past it. I walked in the door and there was a young lady a smile on her face and "welcome to the Hawthorn" was how I was greeted. I had no reservation and she said no problem, smoking or non smoking and in minutes I was to the large room I have ever seen in a hotel. It did not stop there, they offer a beer and wine bar on 2nd floor and I got to know some of the other that were staying there, it was like visiting with family. Then I head down stairs to the Vintage, what a surprise, when did Oshkosh start serving food like that. The light jazz music playing combined with the menu and the great service. I can not wait until my next trip to Oshkosh. I know where I am staying.

the hotel is wonderful and clean! However, the front desk staff was not so great, well I shouldnt say that, only one in particular. Two nights I went to the desk for something and had to wait, the label on the phone said dial 0 for assistance, so I did. I literally waited 5-10 minutes until someone came to the desk, it wasnt even a front desk employee. When the desk employee arrived she seemed as if she had no idea what was going on and was irritated that I needed something, she smelled horribly like smoke which is abosutly discusting. The second night she was on a personal phone call, to me this didnt matter but she finished up her phone converstation then got to me. This is rude and very uprofessional, something should definitly be done about her. I was going to speak to the assistant manager but like the hotel itself was nice and I do not feel as if I should be compensated for an unprofessional staff member who needs to focus on her job verus her personal life during her shift. I will return again but I must say I hope she isn't there. She seemed like she was literally in a fog, i apologize if something was wrong with her, but then she shouldnt be working alone!!

The price was different when I got there then when I booked the room. When I went to speak with the management she was not nice about it. To make it worse I found a bra on the floor next to the bed in my room( NOT MY BRA ). My worst stay in a hotel ever!
