Comfort Inn Midtown Ruidoso, Ruidoso

Worst place. Really bad customer service. The front desk lied to our faces about our charges to our room. Manager needs to be fired.

Worst Comfort Inn I've ever stayed at! First, when we arrived at our motel room we found out the toilet wasn't working, upon notifying the front desk the clerk told us oh yea we have been having problems with our toilets around here. She offered a plunger but then couldn't find one and didn't know what to do. I asked for management which was nowhere to be found. The clerk suggested I call him on this cell phone which i did. I explained the situation and he said he would have to go buy another plunger. He did, but failed to tell us, so as we sat in room the plunger sat at the front desk. The staff did not give a damn about their guests that clearly evident. I decided to check with the front desk and the clerk said the plunger has been here waiting on me...lol (what a Joke). Well the plunger did not work so they had to call a plumber to fix things. Needless to say 2 hours later the problem was fixed but not one single Apology from any of the staff. Second, the motel calls it a free full breakfast... again what a joke! What you get is cold powered eggs, bacon tuff as leather and so forth. Third, the room smelled old and muggy, the air conditioner at its lowest setting sounded like a freight train coming through. Finally, through it all the staff all the way from the front desk to management offered no Apologies as for their sub standard service...all of this at 129.00 dollars a night. I would not recommend this motel to anyone, their many more places to stay in Ruidoso even though they not at mid-town my suggestion is stay somewhere else anyway.

Love this place stayed there many time I love how clean the rooms are. I love the great service and cookies at 4pm. the location is great right next to the best parts of town and my fav pizza place.

Love the location, was very quiet, and staff was very professional. I just had a total knee replacement and needed the handicapped room. Was very well accomodating to the obstacles I have to temporaly overcome. Bed was pillow friendly with more than enough pillows and bed was pretty darn comfty, too. I make it a plan to always stay here on my way from West Texas to Albuquerque. I always take the senic route.

Handy location to midtown shopping. Be prepared for usual annoyances: toilet took extra "hold down" to flush, slow-draining sink ... things you'd tolerate at home till you got around to fixing them but are irksome at $80 a night. Wireless internet unreliable, bring a long DSL cable because they don't have enough to go around (and once you get connected, stay connected). Key cards had to be redone -- worked to get into the hotel but not the room. Overall, a C+

We were on our way to Oregon from Texas and decided to stop and see Ruidoso. We decided to try the Comfort Inn and were very happy we did. It was very clean, nicely appointed rooms, beautiful setting and close to everything - and reasonably priced. We stretched our overnight stop to three days and can't wait to go back and get out of the Texas heat.

We had a great time. We were there for the 4th of July week-end and being that it was a holiday, the prices were within our range.

I've stayed at this location twice now. Located on the main street in the middle of town its one of very few hotels in town. The lobby has a nice sitting area with fireplace and couches and a computer for guest use. From the parking lot you can see the summit of Sierra Blanca. The hotel has a heated pool and hottub located indoors. Breakfast is included and consists of your choice of (bagels, hot chocolate, coffee, selfmade waffles, boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereals, juices, milk, donuts, toast). The hotel is located next to many stores, bars & resturaunts. We ordered italian from next door and they actually walked it over to us. Also available at the time was a complimentary shuttle service to casinos (drivers work for tips). The hotel was clean, and quiet. The room we had was a suite, it had 2 queen size beds, 1 pull out sofa seperated by a small wall, 2 cable tvs, internet access, refridgerator & microwave. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a medium budget hotel with great accomodations. The price we paid was 109 for this room on the weekend, 89 durring the week. Smaller rooms start at $59.

This hotel is located in the heart of ruidoso's midtown shopping district. You can walk to shops or restaurants without having to use your own car. The rooms were new and clean. The service was great. Would recommend to anyone.

The location was outstanding. The hotel was nice and clean with a friendly staff. They also have a lot of ammenities. Great of families since there is a lot to do within walking distance of the hotel.
