Courtyard Oakland Emeryville, Emeryville

it was clean. staff was very corteous. the gym had good equipment. i dont know that i would call the spa a spa. had to wait 3 hours before i could check in.

I have stayed here several times, but I might consider looking elsewhere next time. The rooms on one side of the hotel are right over the freeway, with fantastic views of SF and the bay, but the constant swish of the freeway and the motion of the cars makes me dizzy! So we asked for a room on the other side of the hotel, but on that side there are very bright lights which shine in your window all night. There is no complimentary breakfast here, so we went down the street to the public market and got coffee and rolls. Free internet here and free parking. But the parking is an open lot, with quite a bit of night life, which makes me feel insecure about leaving my car out there. They are in the process of gating the parking, if that will do any good I don't know.

I liked the location to the small shops and food courts, the convience it offered for conferences. The hotel felt safe and I loved the view.
