This is a great Hotel. I stayed here in mid 2005 and was surprised at the level of service i recieved as a for the price I paid. A true bargin and an excellent hotel by any standards,

Big Bang for your Buck!

The location of the hotel was fabulous as it was only five minutes walk from Causeway Bay which is the centre of some major shopping. In turn, it is right across the street from Victoria Park and half a block away from the Hong Kong Central Library, which has hundreds of computers offering free internet. The rooms, though small, were clean and cosy and were equipped with every little thing one could need including: a free first round of mini bar goods including water and pop, free toothbrushes, free slippers, down comforters etc. The staff was friendly, although there were a few minor mishaps due to miscommunications. All in all, highly recommended and as I paid a bit less than $90 CDN per night (last two weeks of August 2005), this hotel is fantastic value.

Excellent location, value but....

I stayed 3 weeks during Nov 03. I got a promo price of HK$5200/per 2 week plus 13% tax. Hotel price in HK is expensive so Rosedale really offers a good value for the long stay guests. It is in excellent location only 5 mins walk to the most exciting city center---Causeway Bay where you can find excellent restaurants, shopping centers and close to the locals unlike Central where becomes a ghost area after business hours.Bad side of this hotel is its petite size lobby, poor ventilation in guest rooms (will get a non-smoking room next time even though i am a smoker). but i will excuse all these for its convenient location and neatness. the daily maid is excellent who will make sure the room is cleaned daily. it's the cleanest and newest of its class. what else you want more for its offering price (regular price is too pricey though). If you can get the promo price (about US$48 a day), take it.
