Good and bad...
By Dan, 2/16/10
The rooms and the bed were very nice. The traffic was noisy, and could be heard all throughout the night, but that was expected. I was disappointed as the pool was warmer than the "hot" tub, and when I asked if anything could be done, the employee was less than accommodating. The breakfast buffet was pricey, but for the most part ok. The fun part was when I went to check out, and was told "they did not own the parking lot" (which is located literally right outside the door). I was charged $22 for parking when it was advertised that parking is free. I will not go back. Next time, I will stay next door at the Westin.

A big price with few amenities
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/08
For the price and according to the description on line I expected more. My room did not have a jacuzzi bath tub or tub with jets as described on line, and there wasn't even a refrigerator. The beds had nice linens, but were very uncomfortable. Our room was on the 5th floor, but you would have thought it was in the middle of traffic. There was a lot of street noise, even late at night. I also felt the room service was poor. Obviously they made the bed, but there were scraps of something black (like pieces of rubber) on the floor that didn't get vacuumed, even though it was very obvious. The last morning the toilet backed up, and from the smell, it wasn't just our toilet in distress. My husband fixed ours, but we kept getting a strong sewer gas smell the rest of the time we were there that morning. The only bright spot was the wonderful woman who greeted us (I think her name was Jessica) at breakfast every morning. Although our stay was only 2 days, she remembered exactly what we liked (my husband's hot chocolate) and was very friendly. Too bad the breakfast was soooo expensive. I've had nice dinners for less.

Can't Wait To Go Back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/20/08
It was amazing. The service was ok, but I could get a good nights rest from the soft beds. The gym was nice and so was the pool and spa.

Great experience!
By Derrek, 6/4/07
Perfect location. A lot of great dining within walking distance. The quality of the the room and the service were consistant with what you expect from Courtyard by Marriiott.

A lovely hotel with lots of extras
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/06
We very much liked: very comfortable, spacious, spotless, well-appointed room; large clean bathroom; vending machines including ice on every floor; washing machine and dryer for guests' use; an ATM; a big bright clean swimming pool and whirlpool/jacuzzi; easy and convenient parking; excellent breakfast at a reasonable price; brilliant location near everything you want to see or do in Providence; easy to get to; very helpful and pleasant staff; fast and efficient elevators; excellent bright, modern public rooms and amenities like the computer I'm typing this on! We disliked... nothing. We'd definitely recommend it.

nice hotel - awesome location
By MARLENE, 6/9/05
We liked this hotel a lot. we spent Christmas in Providence last year. this hotel has a lot of great little touches that make you feel special like free coffee and tea and cookies on check-in. the rooms were nice and overlooked the river. the central location was great. we ate at the Biltmore and shopped at the mall across the street. we would definately go back.

A very lovely hotel
By MiriamR, 5/25/05
The location was perfect. Right near all restaurants and transportation. The best restaurant nearby was RiRa, an Irish bar. Perfect for dinner and then just a block away from the hotel. The room was clean and beautiful. Comfortable beds and chairs and spotless bathroom. And the breakfast room was gorgeous, with a great selection of food. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend some time in quaint Providence.

Great hotel in a great spot! I walked to Providence Place to have dinner (it's across the street) and to do some shopping. Love the wireless internet!
