Great improvement!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/11
Booked the place BEFORE I read the reviews and was immediately terrified of what I would find. I'm on a tight budget so I couldn't cancel and stay at more expensive places. I came prepared with my own bedding and towels. I brought Febreeze and Oust and slippers. When I got there, I asked to see the room before paying and Neal the manager was all smiles and showed me the room. I mentioned all the negative reviews and he said they were under new management. The room smelled of fresh paint, the bathroom was remodeled with standard fixtures and there was no mold or fungus or unsightly odors. They was still no closet to speak of, so I couldn't hang clothes but Neal said that the closet parts were on order. I mentioned that there was no safety lock, which had come in that week and he installed it the next day. The place is s very basic set up for the price but it was clean and there was a fridge and microwave and small table. I would stay here again and Neal was very accommodating and personable and always smiling. Great customer service, great improvement and I hope people will give this place another chance.

Health board needs to close this place down !!!
By taina, 9/14/09
We stayed in rm 110, it was so stinky that we had to leave- buy febreeze- then return and spray the WHOLE bottle before the stink lifted. Then the toilet stopped up after 1 use, we called the reception and they told us to go pick up a plunger from the office. EXCUSE ME..anyways we plunged and things were ok- until we realized that the fridge was covered in rust and mold inside and out! Thank God we had our ice chest. No microwave and there was a door connecting our rm to another with a huge gap. We had to stuff the gap with a towel because we were creeped out. Carpets so filthy that when we walked around the room our socks turned BLACK. I was so disgusted that I bought Clorox and did some major cleaning. The only clean thing were the sheets and towels. At checkout they dodn't even meet you in the office, they prefer a key drop box so they don't have to see anyone face to face and hear the complaints. OH & the toilet backed up into the tub right before we left. Bathroom window is next to a vacant lot and guess what?! IT DOESN'T HAVE A LOCK! Walls so thin I actually heard my neighbor fart ( how sad is that?) . The owners are Indian and speak horrible english and they are extremely rude. I am so glad it was only one night. The beds had huge stains on the side too, carpets were pieces that were cut and thrown on the floor also. It was a nightmare and I'm so glad it's over. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE WITH KIDS..EVER! As a matter of fact just look for another place or stay in your car overnight if you have to..I'm not lying.

By Penny415, 8/3/09
Pease watch out this is a horrible place... The worst motel, is a roach motel... not an inn I have ever stayed on. cracks on the walls very old furtiture, no blow-dryer, too expensive for the room. I rather stay in my car.

No stars
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/14/08
The shower did not drain. Only some of the lights lit up. There was no way to secure and lock the bathroom window. The sound of the cars penetrated through the thin windows. Limited parking. There is not much, if any communication with on-line reservations.

Don't even think about it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/7/07
This place needs a visit from the fire department. It is completely unsafe-all power was coming from the one working outlet in the room with a power strip, and it was under the bed, so the power went off if you shifted in bed. The bathroom was incredibly bad, there were holes everywhere. There was no closet, in fact, a television had been stuck on a box where the closet should have been. The walls are filthy, and patched, with no paint. And you can hear everything in the other rooms. The ice machine nor the soda machine worked. It was the worst 2 nites of my life, camping or sleeping in your car would be better. Avoid at all costs!!

Worst Hotel EVER!!!
By S.D. MI5, 7/18/07
This hotel was the worst of the worst hotels. I have NEVER stayed in a Motel, Inn, or Hotel worse than this place. Where do I start?? The framework on the entrance to the room was falling apart. The lock on the door was a push-button knob without any chain lock at the least to set me at ease. The television and microwave had cigarette burns all over the edges of them and the walls had been punched, or kicked or bashed in and patched up by a five year old. The price paid for the room (online) was $129 plus tax totaling $143. I was so upset and could not believe that this place hadn't been condemned. I warn all who want to stay at this DIVE. Find a shack on the beach for a better time with better amenities.

KEEP ON DRIVING!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/07
It would be better to spend a night at the sea lion caves than to stop at this place. There was no wastebasket. The hot water in the sink did not work. There was newspaper stuffed into a hole in the wall behind the toilet. We had adjacent rooms - one with a door to nowhere and the other (on the other side of this door) a paper thin wall. The heater was a fire hazard. And the dressers have missing drawers. The wi-fi connection is good. The TV does have cable, which is needed to drown out the traffic nearby. Now we know why it was the only place on this street with available rooms on this Saturday night in July.

WHAT A DUMP!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/06
This place should be shut down! We made reservations for an event weekend. When we arrived we found our room "under construction" or it could have been it's normal appearance. The vacancy sign was lit but they would not give us another room. The front clerk was rude and had an attitude. Room #220 should not even be available to anyone. The health department should pay them a visit!

Review ratings before you book
By Yvonne, 8/4/06
I had made reservations in June 2006 for Aug 18,19,20 and today looked on line at the reviews of Bayside Inn. I called to cancel based on the ratings. I also had to pay an non-refundable $43.00 charge based on cancellation agreement. I am very disappointed in the fact I did not see ratings before I booked this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
