Boy is the management, the cleaning and the maintenance staff of this place bad. Its cheap and has a kitchenette which use to be the reason why I came, but the pots and pans are often now unclean, and many rooms have an unbelievably bad and unidentifiable smell. I believe this is because they were once smoked in rooms but it doesnt smell like old smoke, It smells toxic. It smells like someplace you neither want to sleep in or breath in.
The new manager posted a sign everywhere, TENENTS WHO PUT THEIR TRASH IN THE HALL WILL BE EVICTED -
This is because Maids dont pick up the trash without an arguement. On the days they do they either forget the bathroom trash or try to reuse the liners. If you come here expect to be startled by seeing something you threw away days ago suddenly reappear because THEY ARE REUSING THE LINERS.
You throw your trash away in a 4 by 8 foot closet that is usually full. It is so often full that you cant open the door without being face to face with someone elses filth.
Here is an exchange I had with a maid:
Knock, knock, "you want clean towels today?",
"Yes and I want you to clean my room",
maid tries to hand the towels and sheets to me like Im going to make the bed
"no, you do this", And I hand them back to her.
This turns into a"..AND HE THREW THINGS AT ME!" complaint by the maid. Management did not take my side. Nor did corporate relations. Nor did the area manager who never calls back. He is always on the road and has only a voice mail that he never responds too.
Ownership attitude is "WE CAN LOSE YOU AND REPLACE YOU BECAUSE WE ARE LOSING MONEY AND NOT MAKING ENOUGH TO DO THE NORM".
And Ive been coming here since 2003 and have spent thousands of dollars.
Your calls will go unanswered or ignored. IF you complain on a Friday dont expect anyone to do anything. If you complain during the week expect stupid Mexican tricks.
You will have to ask the staff to do many normal things. For example, Remove bad unidentifiable odor, replace window screen, kill flys in room, I only get 28 of 31 channels where are the other channels, new light bulbs, you missed spills, you didnt vacuum, the candy machine is very poor, one of three washing machines doesnt work, the wireless network is inaccessible.
The wireless network is not handled by Studio 6 nor maintenance but by an 800 number. Maintenance hates this for there is not enough signal strength in every room for everyone to have a connection.
For example, "its ok now",
"No, the signal strength is one bar out of 5 bars",
"its ok now
"no the 800 # people said I have to get another room to get a signal",
its ok now,
"look, I do this for a living and there is no connectivity in this room!",
its ok now,
"NO ITS NOT OK - STOP SAYING ITS OK - ITS BROKEN".
And then the maintenance guy says to me - " YOURE YELLING AT ME AND IM GOING TO GET YOU KICKED OUT OF HERE FOR DISRESPECTING ME"
The current two managers are incompetent and cant run this place. They are very adept at lying to corporate to cover their asses. They will bad mouth you in order to protect themselves rather then take responsibility and do their job. In short,
Management is incompetent.
Staff is incompetent
Managment are accomplished liars.
Staff are accomplished liars.
For the same money and what you normally expect without hours of headaches fighting to get what is normal, GO TO THE MOTEL 6 ACROSS THE PARKING LOT.
