Great service, location, and a wine connection
The room was smaller than the four sisters property in Half Moon Bay, so I would suggest deluxe queen to give more space in room. Proximity to ten or so restaurants and wine tasting rooms was ideal so we could walk to everything. The surprising thing was the inn had free passes for tastings, instead of paying $5-$10 for each winery AND they had connections. The manager, who's name I think is Rachel, called the excellent Matanzas Creek Winery and arranged for a free private tasting for my wife and I. When we arrived, we were given a personal tour by Chris O'Connell, tasting room manager, who then sat us in a private room with two place settings that had our names printed on them! We were shocked and there were about five Reidel glasses for each of us. We went through the normal tasting routine of Sauv Blanc through dark reds and he commented on the making and history of each wine and it was fantastic. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours. We ended up signing for wine club and bought a couple hundred bucks in wine and he through in some perks. We can return with up to six friends for the same treatment.
Back to the Inn, service is what you pay for and what you get and this place is great. The only negative thing was the TV was about fifteen inch and I had intended on spacing out with some movies, but it wasn't that big a deal.
