Decent Hotel, Poor Service
I went to Toronto on a trip with friends and booked this hotel for its value. The hotel itself was fine, but the service left something to desire. They messed up our room situation as soon as we got there, placing us in a smoking room when we booked a non-smoking; eventually they moved us to another room.
When I asked for additional amenities (such as blankets or pillows), they said they were sold out and couldn't get me more. The continental breakfast was average among value chains, it did save me money on food.
But the hotel's location was great; a two block walk or tram ride brings you to Eaton Center/Dundas Subway station. The area around the hotel wasn't great (no ritzy Yorktown) but not scary-it seemed like an area where locals live and work.
Overall it was a fine hotel for a quick recreational/business trip if your not looking for a lot of bells & whistles , although the service was not great.
