Do not stay here if you want to sleep!
By ,
The hotel is located above a nightclub. Even on the 10th floor the noise is much louder than the TV would be if you were watching it. It is ridiculous to rent a room knowing that you are unable to sleep in it. The staff have nothing to say about the matter other than they are not in charge of the nightclub. However, they are in charge of renting me the room, charging my credit card and not mentioning the nightclub. Shame. When I rent a room I expect, at the minimum, I can sleep.

Will Return
By ,
This hotel has some mixed review, but I definitely disagree with the negative. The hotel is located right downtown with very convenient access to public transportation, and the Eaton centre, as well as my office. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous and very friendly. I was greeted by name when I checked in and the warm atmosphere continued throughout my stay. If you haven't stayed at this hotel it is a must and definitely not your typical Garden Inn. The rooms are enormous and extremely clean. The breakfast in the morning is perfectly adequate and the staff make the mornings a little more bearable. The rates are very reasonable for a downtown hotel and I will definitely return to this hotel and refer my colleagues here. Great Hotel!!

Decent Hotel, Poor Service
By ,
I went to Toronto on a trip with friends and booked this hotel for its value. The hotel itself was fine, but the service left something to desire. They messed up our room situation as soon as we got there, placing us in a smoking room when we booked a non-smoking; eventually they moved us to another room. When I asked for additional amenities (such as blankets or pillows), they said they were sold out and couldn't get me more. The continental breakfast was average among value chains, it did save me money on food. But the hotel's location was great; a two block walk or tram ride brings you to Eaton Center/Dundas Subway station. The area around the hotel wasn't great (no ritzy Yorktown) but not scary-it seemed like an area where locals live and work. Overall it was a fine hotel for a quick recreational/business trip if your not looking for a lot of bells & whistles , although the service was not great.

By ,
staff were all freindly & very helpfull, walking distance to city centre with 2 kids room was clean and large enough although a kettle would have been prefered. most reviews mention the area as run down but there is a lot of regeneration in this area. found great market up the street if you need anything but do as we did and just explore the place

Great for our family
By ,
The room was big enough for our family of 5. I was concerned how safe the area was before arriving, but it was not a problem. I felt very safe walking around during the day. In the evening, we got a transfer from the subway and took the streetcar the few blocks down Dundas and it stopped right in front of the hotel. Location was very convenient - everything we wanted to see was either a short walk or subway ride. It was worth the extra few dollars for indoor parking. Good breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

Poor Service
By ,
I visited the comfort suites hotel about a year ago and had a good overall experience. The rooms seemed to be clean and comfortable, and I found the location to be quite convenient, with it being within walking distance from the Eatons center and all. Unfortunately the last time I made reservations they were somehow "lost". I can understand that sometimes computers make mistakes, but when I called to confirm my reservations I found the hotel clerks to be quite rude. They asked me if I had my confirmation number and I had lost it. When I told them they asked my name and so on, they went on to say there was no record of my reservation and were very abrupt in saying they could not help me and that was that. I must say I've had better service at a self service gas pump!!

I had a verry pleasant stay
By ,
i liked that indoor heated pool and the exersize room. the rooms were clean and Cozy and the location is EXELLANT! close to The st.Lawrence Market and The Eaton Centre and all of those trndy places like Yorkville. I also liked it here because it was nice for a family vacation. my daughter had fun there playing in the pool and exploring all the things that the hotel has to offer like the game room and all the little flyers that she just had to have for her stuffed dog. I really enjoyed my stay here and when enyone says "where is a good hotel to stay at in Toronto?" I say The comfort suites city centre! thank you for a wonderfull time! -Diane :o)

Charges $10/12hr for internet
By ,
The place is close to everything. I am on a business trip and would like a free high speed internet, I came to know that they charge $10 for each 12hr no matter you use it only for 15 mins. The local calls and toll free calls will cost you 85c per call. No locker Breakfast was good.
