Microtel Florence is AWESOME!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/07
I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Kentucky on my way to a confrence for the CVB. A friend of mine suggested that I stay at the Microtel in Florence, Ky because it was convenient to down town Cincinnati, and very economic. When I walked through the door I was greeted by Rae at the front desk and the smell of fresh baked cookies. She smiled brightly and asked if she could help me. She offered me cookies while she checked me in, and even asked if I needed help with directions or ideas for dinner. While on the way to my room I passed the G.M. Don, in the hallway. He shook my hand and introduced himself and asked if there was anything he could do for me. I told him to hire more people like Rae, she was great. We shared a laugh and I asked him if he had tried the Golf course Rae told me about, (it was free!!!). He said that he LOVED it, and offered to loan me his golf clubs. When I got to the room I was delighted to find a clean and stylish room. Most hotel rooms look like Miami threw up in them. The next morning I stopped at the desk to ask for directions, and I met Susan, the Sales Director. She was the sweetest and most helpful woman. She printed the directions to the CVB off of mapquest for me, and told me to call if I got lost. As much as I travel it would be great to get this kind of exceptional service at every hotel I stay at. I will definately stay here every time I pass through Ky, and look for Microtel in other states because of the service provided here.

Good room at a fair price.
By JasonW, 08/10/07
The Microtel Inn in Florence is a nice place to stay, especially if a traveller is on a budget. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the rates for rooms are some of the lowest in the area. The rooms are fairly no frills, but are comfortable. The only thing I really noticed in relation to cleanliness was a stain on the window sleeper that seemed as if it had been in the room for some time. Other than this, the room was tidy and neat. The location of the Inn is convenient to Cincinatti and the Northern Kentucky area, being located just off of I-75/I-71. Travellers looking to take in the area attractions should be pleased with a stay here.

FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/06
My husband,3 children and I were traveling through Florence, KY when our car broke down. The repair dealer insisted the best place to stay while our car was being fixed was the Microtel. We had never stayed with Microtel before, but decided to try it. What a shock to find such impecable quality and service at a very reasonable price. We were greeted by the General Manager and his wife and they were very sympathetic to our situation. They went out of their way to turn a bad situation into a great experience. The hotel was very clean, very nicely decored, and very impressionable. We were given a double suite for the price we would have spent on a regular room at any other chain. Then to occupy our time with the kids, we were given free passes to a golf course with a driving range and putt-putt golf -- we didn't have to pay a dime! The General Manager even let my husband use his personal golf clubs! The staff later drove us to a very nice restaurant close to the hotel and came to pick us up when we were done! Breakfast the next morning was great for the kids. They had a good variety from hard-boiled eggs to chocolate muffins--the kids really enjoyed it. When it came time to check out, our car was still not ready. The staff was so nice to let us stay until late in the afternoon without charging us another day. From the time we walked into this hotel until we left, we felt the red carpet had been rolled out just for us. We will always recommend this hotel to everyone!

Impeccable!!!!
By Ang, 03/02/06
We just stayed at the Microtel, our first experience with this chain. We are relocating to the area and where down for a whirlwind two day interview and housing search. My husband and I traveled with our two small boys and my sister. The suite was AWESOME! It was very spacious, impeccabaly clean, and had tons of amenities like the microwave, fridge and wet bar. The built in table into the wet bar was the perfect place for our two year old to eat meals. The TV was up high which made it easy to view from either bed and was out of harms way for the boys. Breakfast was included and was good and had many selections. The staff was incredible. Everyone we talked to was helpful about the area, gave us tips and ideas and really had our best interest in mind. It felt like staying with friends instead of just some impersonal hotel. The only places that I could see some improvement was that the WIFI did not work in our room. We were told that some rooms get better signals than others. Also, it would have been nice to have more than one chair to use at the built in table. No Big deal! Everything else made up for it. All in All itwas a GREAT experience and I highly reccommend it to EVERYONE!

Small Room - Big Impression
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/05
We needed a room for one night in Florence and I found a travel coupon on the internet to stay at this hotel for $50+taxes. The desk attendants were very helpful and thorough. We went out and came back about midnight...they gave us the key to the business center to check our emails w/absolutely no hassels. The only flaw with the room was a small mildew spot on the shower curtain and peeling around the ceiling over the show, very minor though...the business center was very clean. The room was small but with two full beds, the TV mounted on-top of the closet, it make good use of all the space. The wall-to-wall mirror over the beds made the room look bigger. Check in and out were a breeze. Breakfast was great too. Biscuits and gravy, cereals, bagels...for 2 people and a child...all for $50...hard to beat. I believe the standard room rate was $80...even at that it would have been a good deal...with the coupon it was a steal.
