Wingate by Wyndham Baltimore Airport, Linthicum

On October 30th, my family checked into this hotel ( the Wingate by Wyndham BWI Airport, located in Linthicum Heights, MD) for their park and cruise package. What a costly mistake. It would of been more cost effective to park at the port. Upon leaving the hotel on October 31st, I asked the front desk representative where should I leave my car since I had it parked in one of the front spaces. The agent clearly directed me to park the car in the back of the hotel property. However, upon our arrival back on November 7th, I found my rear driver’s window smashed and nearly $350 worth of electronics was taken. I notified the front desk and basically was bothering the manager on duty. With not other options, I drove home with an open window which was covered with cardboard. In my follow up after this, the Hotel took a carefree attitude to the situation and referred my case to their insurance agent who denied the claim saying the hotel was not responsible because there were signs in the lot; "park at your own risk" and the hotel was not liable because it was damage done to my car by a third party. I contacted the Wyndham Hotel Groups customer service department on two occasions but learned I was on my own because this hotel was independently owned and Wyndham worldwide can not assist..,.. So much for staying in a hotel based upon its name and reputation. In summary, I lost $350 for my window repair and $300 for my stolen items. The hotel is not safe... I would not recommend this hotel based upon the treatment and no support I received from the Wyndaham Group, I will never stay in this hotel or Wyndham again. If you are planning to do a park and cruise, park at cruise port, at least they have 24 security which this hotel does not offer....

The hotel was great. The room was great. The food was great. The pool was great. The service was great. I would stay here again.

Nice, quiet, clean, enjoyable stay. Overall not bad. Needs improvement on customer service. Ask the person at the front desk where to buy tickets for the Orioles games and they looked at me like i was speaking Norwegian. Had to check out at 4 am for a early flight, and there was no one at the front desk.

I stayed in 3 different hotels during my 1 week visit to Annapolis, New Jersey and New York, this was the best Hotel for it's value. Breakfast was wonderful! Hot waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, fruits, juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt and many other great breakfast items. It was very clean, Hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel staff offered shuttle services to local restaurants, and airport, this was great especially since I returned my rental car one day earlier. This is a must stay hotel, highly recommend.

Full service type hotel. Picked us up at BWI minutes after we called. Shuttle driver took us to a local restaurant and picked us up. Shuttles to BWI were quick and curteous. Great breakfast, pool and fittness area, king room was very large + micro and frig. I'd stay here again. Desk staff had local restaurant menus, offered information on sites to see, modes of travel to downtown.

After spending an amazing week on the road in Colorado, Nevada, Maryland, and Washington D.C., I had to return to reality. I had stayed in 4 hotels over 7 days, each with its own story. The last hotel I stayed in was the Wingate by Wyndham near the BWI airport. I had been expecting the typical nondescript,, mid-priced, airport hotel, but how I was surprised! My sister, mother and I took the Metro from D.C. to BWI. While I was flying out that same day, my mother's flight was for the next day. We called the hotel to arrange for the shuttle to pick us up. The driver was there in 30 seconds! True, he was picking up other passengers at the time, but it was perfect timing! When we arrived, the check in was quick and polite. I must say that the lobby was inviting: Coffee 24/7, nice decor, and close to the rooms. There was a pool, small gym, and a hot tub. The business center was next to the front desk. There were two computers, a printer, a fax, pens, paper, etc. available for use. We quickly logged on FOR FREE and printed out our boarding passes. The front desk gave us many options for restaurants to try before my flight. We were expecting to have to walk or take a taxi to the Italian restaurant that we had chosen, but the front desk offered the hotel shuttle to us. The driver picked us up within minutes, drove us to the restaurant and picked us up when we had finished. The driver was quick, kind, and prompt! Within a few minutes of our drop off from dinner, he gave me a ride to the airport. During my short stay, the hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. The spacious king room had a micro/fridge combo. The coffee maker was located OUTSIDE of the bathroom (anywhere near the bathroom is revolting!). The shower head had a unique multi-flow system, and the bed was comfortable. What a perfect stay! Considering that it was my last night, I felt sad that this short stop was the end of my journey. If the other hotels had offered 50% of the what the Wingate had provided, my trip would have been outstanding. My previous hotels were: Hyatt Bethesda ($16.00 for internet kiosk use!), The Bellagio Las Vegas (that will be discussed soon!) The Gold Coast Las Vegas (no "real" business center, hot tub, or decent pillows), The Hampton Inn Las Vegas (great breakfast, nice business center, but $160/night!), and La Quinta Denver (double beds should fit two people...orange juice should not taste like water...) So, there is my cross-country adventure! Thank you, Wingate!

Well they do offer a $3.00 discount for military/Government. What an INSULT.

We arrived at 9pm our first night, having used their web system to make our 2-night reservation for a non-smoking room 3 months before. They refused to honor it. They said their web-based system had mucked up our reservation and there wasn't anything they could do about it because they were full. We were told we could have a smoking room for two nights, or a non-smoking room for one night. But we would need to wait to talk to the night manager at 11pm to stay 2 nights in non-smoking. I tried 9 other local hotels, but they were full too, so we were left to deal with the Wingate staff. In the end, we had to switch rooms at 8am (I ignored their adminition that we should come down at 7am or lose the room) and pay an extra $10 to get them to honor our reservation. And they were extrememly rude to boot. Only the morning staff even apologized for their error. We come to Baltimore frequently but won't stay there again.
