Not Coming Back Here Again
We found this place through Pets Welcome.com. Our dog stays crated and we do not allow her to make a nuisance of herself, but we know some people do allow their animals to run wild, so we expected we might be given a suite that was not quite plush. This one had stains on the carpet and on the wallpaper; however, the bed was nice and firm and the shower worked nicely. That was the only good thing about our stay. The small refrigerator in the kitchenette area was frosted up and did not get very cold. I found a dead bug in one of the kitchenette cupboards. Near midnight the first night I used the bathroom and the toilet immediately clogged up. The front desk's answer to this problem was not to send a maintenance man with a plunger, but to move us to a new room. We had half moved into the new room when I noticed that the water in the toilet was cloudy. No one had used it, but when I flushed it it was already clogged, and had poor water pressure. So at nearly 1 a.m. we had to move to yet a third room and two nights later the toilet in this unit clogged up as well. My husband managed to get the front desk to find a plunger--there was apparently only one in this big hotel and they couldn't find it!--and fixed the toilet himself. And for this I'm paying $129 (before taxes)!!!! Next time I'll stay at the Motel 6: cleaner, and the toilets don't clog up.
