The complaint sheet was not big enough

We booked with Ebookers London to go to what looked to be a convenient and reasonable place to stay in New York. We booked a kitchenette suite, with high speed internet, which was supposedly close to Manhatten, the tube, the Airport. So it all sounded good.
When we arrived in New York, we went to Grand Central station where we rang to get directions as the map we had was not really specific. We could not understand any of the people we spoke to, their English was to say the least limited. We rang several times and had the same problem each time. When 2 hours later we walked the 6 blocks from the station to the motel, we arrived in a very dark and dated room. The kitchenette was a wardrobe, minus doors with a microwave on the top shelf. You had to stand on a chair to use it. The bath was blocked so we stood in each other's dirty water to shower, then the toilet blocked and we had faeces coming out of the bowl to greet us. The breakfast was served in the reception area, right at the front door and consisted of apple or orange juice if you got there early enough, and remembered to take the paper cups from your room, croissants, no butter or jam, some extremely questionable cereals. The high speed internet was not available, and nor was the internet at reception. When complaints were made, I am sure the staff tried to comply, but their limited English made it difficult. I have been scratching ever since we left, I think there may have been bed bugs as I have large welts on my legs and torso. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and we travel a lot. I would NEVER go there again, and to add insult to injury they charge top dollar. We can stay in really nice clean hotels in London for a lot less money.
