The hotel is located on the Estuary and Marina in Oakland, California. Its three-story design has 600f the suites and studios overlooking the marina, and is located conveniently off of I-880, which provides excellent access to San Francisco or San Jose. The lobby/lodge features a 40 foot beamed ceiling and boasts floor to ceiling windows overlooking the waterfront. The upscale nautical theme is reflected in hues of vibrant blue, yellow and purple with solid oak millwork, granite counters and brushed pewter finishes. This extraordinary hotel also offers a complimentary buffet breakfast daily as well as the Manager*s Reception Monday - Thursday featuring complimentary microbrewery beer, wine and a light dinner.

Plenty Room

Located right of the freeway. Nice lobby, clerk was nice. Room was great, kitchen and sitting area. Bed was very comfortable. Area is quiet, located down the street from Jack London Square. Ended up staying another night. Must say we enjoy our room, didnt hear any noise from freeway traffic. Will visit again.

Worked for me

It's not in the best area, but it's close to where I need to be for business and convenient to some great restaurants at Jack London Square. The access to 880 is good. The evening bbq and beer/wine is great, and it's nice to walk along the waterfront in the evening. I've not had a problem at all. The people are always nice there. I travel 90% of the time and this is a good place to stay when I'm in Oakland.

Bad Area, Broken A/C, Staff Unresponsive

I would not recommend staying here. We went out to find a convenience store and realized we were in a VERY bad area - did not feel safe getting out of car. We returned to the hotel to find shady people in the parking lot stealing the wi-fi internet. The hot tub was broken and the pool hours are only until 8pm. Our A/C didn't work. Called the front desk to let them know we were checking out the next day and would need the receipt in the morning. Went down the next morning and they had no record of our intent to check-out. The Homewood Suites at the SFO airport is cheaper, nicer, better staff and a constant shuttle to the airport/BART station. We switched and were glad we did.

i wouldn't stay here

the hotel is right near the track of railroad. bathroom had a broken mirror. a/c didn't work. the room was great. the pool was great. i would stay somewhere else not near the railroad tracks.

Please fix the lamp shade in room 112

The hotel is in a great location for government business travellers visiting Coast Guard Island. However, the service is poor. When I checked in my room a lamp shade was broken. The front desk was immediately notified. Yet, during my two day stay no one ever came to fix the lamp shade even though I apprised the staff of the problem each day. In addition, my room was not cleaned each day of my stay.

Quiet Spot on the Water

This is a terrific spot - located right off 880, but situated on the marina (ask for a water view), it was a perfect spot to use for seeing San Francisco (take the ferry from Alameda right to Pier 39 or the Giants game), north to wine country, pick up an Oakland A's game (5 minutes down the road) or head to coastal route 1. After sightseeing, it's a quiet spot to return to. Complete complimentary breakfast is served daily, also M-Th happy hour with supper, beer and wine. Can't be beat for the price and location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is free.
