Holiday Inn Express Hartford-Downtown, Hartford

3 friends and I made a trip here to see a concert. The staff was so friendly (especially Christina who worked the front desk) and helpful. They gave us tips of where to eat, where to buy whatever we needed, and the best ways to get around. The "continental breakfast" was the best I've ever seen with lots of options. The room was small but very clean, well kept and up to date. The entire building was well kept and up to date. It had a very comfortable inviting feel to it. The only cons were the limited parking which costs $13 a night and the lot is a little sketchy. And if you have a room facing the parking lot, you get to hear the bumping sounds of the club until 2am and then of course the sounds of people leaving the club. Even still, if I ever had a reason to go back to Hartford CT, I would stay at this Holiday Inn Express in a heartbeat. It's no Hilton (a block or so away) but it is definitely worth the money.

I loved the location most of all! We ended up here accidentally after going to an EconoLodge (ew) and we loved it! Literally across the street is a park with that fountain you see in the picture. When we went there was an outdoor concert going on and little outdoor shops set up! There are restaurants in walking distance and the convention center that we were there for was very close by! :D I'd love to stay there again!

I like the fact that the staff is extremely helpful. Anytime I have an issue it is immediately handled. There has never been a time when I had an issue with noise or felt uncomfortable. This is a great place. Plus, the view of Bushnell Park and the State Capital is so amazing.

The hotel staff was wonderful. They were extremely helpful and pleasant. The location was nice. I had a great view of the park and the Capital Building. Parking was my only complaint. I am from the South where paying for parking is unheard of.
