Rooms are dirty nad service is not nice, no hot water and pool area is very disgusting, construction is noisy eraly in the morning, no supervisor at any time, the manager is never there, the wake up calls where at minutes after....

This hotel is situated on a beautiful part of the Panama canal. Be sure to book a room on the canal side so you can watch the boats go by while relaxing on your balcony. It is a delightful spot.

The location is provides a view of the Panama Canal but requires a taxi ride to anywhere. It is 20-30 minutes to the heart of the city and too far to walk to the causeway resturants. Taxi drivers at the hotel will charge too much. It is better to catch a taxi at the street. Our room was not clean. Someone had been sleeping in it and taken a shower in it before we arrived. The desk staff did not believe us and it indicated that it was the only room we could get for the night. There are much better locations in Panama City.

Hotel is located at the Pacific entrance to the canal and has a nice pool and grounds. Although an older building, it is in good condition but not very clean. Paid the extra $30 for a canal side room but view not worth it. Don't expect great service. Requests for information takes hours. Don't use hotel shuttle, charges far more expensive than taxie.

We booked our reservation on the phone using the Country Inn & Suites 800 #. Upon arrival, the hotel said they did not have our confirmation number, nor a reservation. After calling the USA, we were told that the res was sent via fax to Panama, 24 hours earlier and they judt did not put it in their system as of yet!! The front desk said they could not give us the price quoted to us, even though we had a paper printout of the reservation from the usa.......NOT ACCOMODATING AT ALL.We arrived at midnight with 2 small toddlers to find this out. First thing in the morning we went to the "kids" pool. One of the reasons for choosing this hotel. It was filthy! In every sense of the word. Floaties in the water, cigarette butts everywhere, loose trash on the ground, spilled food and drinks, big pieces of chipped cement on the stairs, etc. I went to the desk and spoke with the manager who assured me he was going to have it cleaned. We left and returned 10 hours later to take as swim after a day out, only to find the same trash and filth! I wouldn't walk barefoot at the pool due to the slime and filth.....never mind a toddler. I know things happen, but for him to leave the pool/eating area like that is not acceptable!
