Antigua Miraflores Hotel, Lima

This hotel isn’t perfect (few are), but is good and I would definitely stay her again while visiting Lima. The staff is friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast is good and varied (choice of omelets, etc.). Our plane landed at 11pm, but due to weather delays, immigration, baggage retrieval and customs (the Lima airport isn't very efficient), we didn’t emerge from the airport until almost 1am, but our driver was waiting for us when we emerged from the airport at almost 1am. The hotel rooms are clean and there's plenty of hot water. The TVs are small, older models, but you didn't go to Peru to watch the tube. Rooms have both North American 110 volt and European 220 volt outlets, so you won't need a converter. Two PCs are available with internet access. My room was a traditional room for U$94, containing a queen bed in a smallish room on the ground floor. The other members of my party booked a colonial triple room on the third floor for US$129 containing a queen and a single bed; it was much roomier, but the pigeons that roosted on the roof at night made sleeping a bit difficult. The rooms smelled a bit musty on entry, but opening the windows for a while eliminated most of it, and the carpets were a bit worn. Overall, this is a good place to stay.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and still has the old Lima look and feel..would love to stay there again!! Clean and charming and good service.

After reading great reviews for this property I booked a room for 2 non-consecutive stays in this hotel through Orbitz. Upon arrival, we were immediately informed the second reservation was not available and we needed to find another place to stay. The disappointment turned into delight when we saw the condition of the hotel and room: true, the property is a splendorous mansion in the heart of Miraflores, but in need of lots of TLC. The room stank of mold, the furniture was awfully arranged, cramping the whole room, the bed truly uncomfortable and the pillows smelled like old sweat. The carpet so old and stained it seemed it has not been changed in decades, and the water heater in the first floor noisy enough to keep us awake at night. A complete nightmare! --The common areas are a bit better, and the breakfast was indeed good, but all in all a less-than-satisfactory place to stay in Lima. Next stop after breakfast was to the corner travel agency where we booked a room in a different hotel, what a relief! --Trust me, you will be far better off staying at another hotel either in Miraflores or in nearby San Isidro.

I loved the look of the hotel, it was charming and very cozy . I loved eating breakfast at this charming hotel because of it's great hot crusty bread, coffee and eggs. I would have eaten lunch and dinner however I was out and about Lima visiting all of the nearby tourist places. The hotel staff was eager to please and make you feel like an important person. The room was very accommodating, clean and comfortable. I especially liked the bathroom where i was able to safely take a long hot tub bath because of it's cleaniness.

it is very charming, has free internet, located near 2 good gyms and has very central location in Miraflores. it feels more like a b&b and has great service. ask for a suite! you will not be disapointed.
