The Royal Sands, Cancun

LOOKED BEFORE WE BOUGHT, THIS IS THE BEST OVER ALL. VALUE,LOCATION.ALWAYS CLEANING, FRENDLY AND NO BUGS.BIG POOL,2 POOL BARS,AND THAT GREAT WHITE SAND BEACH FRONT.IT'AT THE BEGENING OF THE HOTEL ZONE.

Service is great, grounds are beautiful! The only thing that is not perfect are that the ocean on this part of Cancun is very rough, and there has been a red flag out ( not recommended to swim) every day I have been here so far, but the hotel cannot do anything about how rough the ocean is. One of the very best hotels in Cancun that I have ever stayed at, and this is my fourth time and fourth hotel.

My parents own several weeks at the "Royal Resorts" in Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. The location of the Royal Sands makes it ideal (as opposed to the Islander/Mayan/Caribbean). The cleanliness of the rooms, friendly staff, and amenities will make it a trip you'll remember. These folks know what they're doing!

We liked it there so much we bought a week. Can't wait to go back. The service was excelent. The people where all very friendly and helpful. There are two pools one mainly used by the younger rowdy single crowd and the other mainly used by the family crowd. The sands is located right next to a big shopping mall.

Very family oriented. The staff is great and the service is the best around. The views from the rooms are incredible, especially early in the morning as the sun comes up.

We traded into the Royal Sands and upon arriving realized that we had hit pay dirt! In other words, It was the most awesome vacation ever! We went back again 3 years later and just had to look up some of the staff that had been so wonderful to us. We are not interested at all in the night life in town so we spent all our time at the resorts (including the sister Royals) and enjoyed every minute of our vacation.

The Royal Sands staff and rooms are fantastic. Everyone has been so helpful and friendly in each of my three trips there. I went this past February and you could not even tell that a category 5 hurricane had hit directly on Cancun. There is very little staff turn over so I have seen all of the same people in each of my three trips over the last five years. The marble floors in each of the rooms add an air of elegance than you rarely see in the states for under 600.00 a night. The ocean views from any room and endless pool with a swim up bar and restaurant make this place special. The hotel concierge group is especially if you need a reservation for dinner, schedule a scuba diving trip, or want to arrange a safe night on the town.

Three years ago I came down to Cancun and hated the hotel I had, was invited to try Royal Sands, and even though I thought Cancun was too commercialized, loved the Royal Sands so much that I bought a timeshare there and have loved it for three years now. It is my favorite vacation and I've been from Australia to Austria. It is the cleanest place with the best service on the globe!!! The food in the restaurant is wonderful and very reasonably priced. There are so many activities one never gets bored, and the spa, it is the best I've been to and I've tried out many onboard ships and at home. I'll go back again and again. I could time trade my week, but I don't ever plan to as the Royal Sands is the place I want to vacation for the rest of my life.

This place has the most excellent service you could ever get. And the resort is located at the heart of a booming area of Cancun at the HOTELLIERA ZUNA which is home of various restaurants, 5 star hotels and resorts, malls and very close to the airport which is about 11 - 15 minutes drive. Based on my experience from the moment I landed at the airport and leaving I had the most rewarding experience that I would love to come back again soon. And most of all the people generally love you and happy to have you there. I like this resort besides their excellent service--- it has beautiful ambiance and the water is just gorgeous. Lots of places to eat which you can actually just walk or have short bus ride. But if you are planning to drive around more often and see their tourist places, I strongly suggested to rent a car.

This place was awesome! We stayed June 06. The staff was more than bending over backwards for us. The atmosphere was lots of fun, both for families or for the singles or just vacationing couples. I miss it already and I would definately stay there again. The food at the resturant was a little pricey, but well worth it.
