The Royal Sands, Cancun

the only dislike i had was the food, dinner wasnt anything to put a smile on your face there sister hotel restaurants is 10x better. breakfast buffet just average and was kinda small but the juice they had for breakfast was excellent, lunch was good

My husband and I went to Cancun for the first time 5 years ago, while there we bought a timeshare at the Royal Sands.Since going over the years we have brought people with us,and the grandparents loved it so much so we bought another week with them at the Royal Haciendas.So we now have 2 weeks one week at the Royal Sands the other at The Royal Haciendas.We have three children and we all can't wait to go back every year.Lots of activities for the kids and my kids have friendships with other kids there that have the same week as us, so they get to see them every year and look forward to it.We love it!!!!!!

My fiance and I stayed at the Royal Sands when it opened in 2000. We loved it so much that we bought a timeshare the next year. We've only got 25 more days until we go again. We stay for 2 weeks every year. We rent the first week from a couple we met at the Royal Mayan in 1999 and the second week is our timeshare. We love everything about the Royal Sands - friendly staff, cleanliness, food, weather, beach, happy hour, painting ceramics, bingo, etc. If you've never stayed at the Royal Sands, I would highly recommend it. You won't be sorry.

Great service, very clean, staff very helpful and very nice. Definately a "family" type setting. All types of things to do without leaving the resort. Very relaxing.

The cleanliness was outstanding. Staff very friendly, fun and helpful. Nice location, beach beautiful. On site supermarket very convienent. Distance from airport great. Located close to great shopping. City bus service great for short jaunts. Use cabs for longer trips, like Walmart. It was great for groceries price wise for longer stays.

I'm surprised to find this place advertised as a "hotel" since it an interval ownership private resort. Anyway. . .they treat you like family. The food is great, happy hour at the Sands is a blast, the breakfast buffett is wonderful. The ceramic painting is fun, the staff can't do enough to help. It's a world class resort.

Stayed at the Royal Sands in 2003 during high school spring break. Truly amazing place and impeccable service. Was able to keep my costs down by shopping at the grocery store.

I loved everything about the royal sands and cannot wait to go back! Service was exceptional and everyone was so friendly! It was a great time had by all and the staff made it more enjoyable with all the activities and events.

Service, location, atmosphere and customer care are all top quality. Traveled extensively all around the world yet the royal sands rates among the best resorts I have visited.

I have been visiting Cancun for almost 10 years and my family and I have chosen The Royal Resorts over every other hotel chain in Cancun. The Royal Sands has been the best one we've stayed at though. The service is awesome and people are so friendly, they're so glad you're there. At the luxourious leveled pool, you can order drinks while you relax in the pool and even order your lunch or some chips and salsa. The location is also very convenient and easy to get to. From the airport, the ride is about an hour, but the taxi driver is always very nice and easy to talk to. The Royal Sands is also walking distance from a mall and the lagoon is right across street. There you can jetski and boat. Downtown Cancun is also not very far from The Sands and offers lots of great nightlife such as nightclubs, restaurants and beautiful malls. The Royal Sands is not like any other hotel chain in Cancun. The rooms are set up with a kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms with 2 full size beds in each bedroom. Each room has a large balcony overlooking eather the pool or the beach, whatever you would prefer and on the balcony there is a table and two comfortable chairs big enough for two people. The atmosphere is really nice and the rooms are set up to make you feel at home and comfortable.
