Days Inn Barstow, Barstow

This particular Days Inn was very comfortable and the staff was welcoming, i would indeed stay here again.

Outside looks great and for the price didn't expect luxury. Could live w/the one only old tattered wrapped tiny soap bar, but the bed did not appear to have fresh bedding on it, altho was made w/spread off. Someone appeared to have checked out early after room had been cleaned but staff didn't go back and remake w/clean bedding. Toilet made horrible noise and wouldn't work after we got all settled in. Toilet tank was ajar w/wrong size lid. Tub was stained. No sound proofing between rooms. There was loud yelling in middle of night. Facility is next to a huge truck stop (actually two) a major truck exit. It was late and we were exhausted after driving 8 hrs so just tried to sleep and left very early next morning. Oh, and after eating a delicious breakfast at the nearby truck stop restaurant....we had severe intestinal disturbances so to speak. I can't even give this place a one star. They also "advertised" free internet, but it wasn't free.

We checked in and tried to get a iron and ironing board for two days and all the clerk could tell us was to try in the morning. He said that they only had two irons for the entire hotel (over 200 rooms)!!?! That was very upsetting and needless to say we never did get an iron.
