\"An excellent hotel\"
By ,
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Gabriella for 7 nights on our first trip to Italy and loved it. The staff was completely focused on making us feel comfortable and very helpful with reservations at museums and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and bread. Coffee was delightful. The photos on the HG website accurately represent the accommodations.our room was a well sized room ,Bathroom have marble sink, Jacuzzi and excellent water pressure. Free internet access! We will come back!

5 stars hotel,2 stars price!
By ,
After searching on the web a not expensive hotel that could accomodate my family of 5,I found the Gabriella. We booked a 5 beds room and we were expecting just a clean room and comfortable beds! What a surprice when we found in our room a minibar,a flat tv sat,a conditioner, and the most amazing bathroom We've ever seen! The room was spacious enough and newly decorated! The breakfast in the lovely breakfast room, facing the street market was too much even for us,pastries, bread, cheese, ham, fruits, fruits salad, tomatoes salad, yougurts, cereals and good coffee. Bruna the concierge, and john Carlos, are really friendly,we will not forget you!

This hotel is a gem!
By ,
We have just come back from a three night stay at the hotel Gabriella. We were pleasantly surprised by the room(even found a chilled bottle of Spumante as a welcome gift)and decor,it was very clean and spacious, and the furnishings are completely charming.Breakfasts were generous, It was perfect for a romantic stay in Rome! The location was excellent with easy access to the Metro and most major sights (except the Vatican). The staff especially Bruna and Francesca were extremely helpful, they gave us many ideas, arranged bookings, reservations, they also arranged a car to the airport for us, which worked out very well. Excellent value for money.

Loved the Hotel Gabriella!
By ,
My wife and I recently returned from a five night stay at the Hotel Gabriella. The rooms are very modern and very clean. The staff was really helpful, told us about a good restaurant around the corner, and gave us great suggestions for city tours. Breakfast was simply the perfect way to start the day. We felt like at home!

Excellent!
By ,
We choose this hotel because of the position and the good reviews! When we arrived very early in the morning, the concierge offered us 2 cup of coffee while we were waiting for our room. The room was clean, spacious and and newly renovated. The breakfasts were great. Free internet access at the lounge! We will come back!

HOTEL IN DISREPAIR
By ,
we checked in (2 couples in 2 rooms) and when led to our rooms the first couple was told that there was no remote to control the air conditioner (temps were in mid to high af80's) and that they would have to borrow ours!!! we were then led to our room where everything seemed okay; however, the shower is made for a midget, no washcloths available (if this is a roman custom this is the only hotel we ran into this) and when we tried to leave an hour later our door would not lock. we went to the desk and the man tried unsuccessfully to lock the door (said it was repaired recently); he then told us we would be moved to another room. by this time, the elevator would not work nor could we get thru the security door to our room as this was broken also. we finally got another room but in place of the king sized bed we had we got a room with 2 twin beds. The room had tile floors and after showering and walking around a few minutes our feet were "black" from the floor; air conditioner cut off during the night--this was not a good value as we were charged $135 euros

Good Value
By ,
High quality Service and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Good English spoken by staff, a fantastic breakfast buffet -real big pot of good coffee -you'll find out why that is unusal the first time you order coffe in a cafe in Rome. Great Location, Easy to find, less than 1/3 mile walk from Termni station. Good deal on bus tours. You sure could do worse. Probaly no better for the price anywhere in Rome. Two things to be aware of though. First if you are big you'll have trouble using the shower, it's only about 2 Sq Ft. I'm male weigh 180, could barely turn around in the shower. Dropped soap required turning off the water, opening the doors and stepping outside to pick it up. Also the air worked very intermitmently, at night opening the windows cooled room better than AC.

Wonderful Hotel
By ,
Like many hotels in the area, Hotel Gabriella is composed of an assortment of apartments that have been remodeled into groups of five or so hotel rooms. One checks in at one such unit (where there is the front desk and lobby area), and is given an electronic key which allows you to enter both the appropriate apartment and your room. One then goes to the appropriate apartment unit, and enters it off the central atrium/stairwell of the building (there are three hotels in the building and a number of actual apartments). Once in the apartment, one is greeted by a long hallway decorated like that in any American hotel, off of which are several hotel rooms. Our hotel room was clean and well-appointed. The the room and bathroom were both a good size--although oddly dimensioned (the foot of the bed was about 8 inches from the desk & wet bar). Service was friendly and responsive. Only a 5 minute walk from Termini and surrounded by delightful (and cheap restaurants). Only problem was that our double bed was in fact two twins pushed together and sharing a single set of sheets--but despite that it was still comfortable. Overall impression was that of a Best Western or Red Roof Inn back in the States. We were there in mid February when weather and A/C weren't much of an issue. There room had an independantly adjustable thermostat, a radiator, an a/c unit, a huge window and high ceilings. We were quite comfortable and the room seemed well-appointed to deal with the summer heat. Highly recomended (we intended to stay there again when we next visit Rome).
