Very Close To The Casinos
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/13/05
This motel is very close to the Stateline casinos - only about 100 feet to Harvey's Casino. It's surrounded by other motels of similar quality. The area appears fairly safe, however there aren't any street lights, so it's fairly dark at night.
The staff seem very nice and professional towards customers. The manager allowed me to check out various rooms and pick ones that I liked. They were prompt to deliver extra towels and toilet paper.
The rooms are small and old. They have the 70's look. The rooms are well kept, but look run-down and show their age. The beds are comfortable and clean. But the AC temperature cannot be adjusted - it can only be turned on or off. The hot water pressure in my room was low. The walls and floors are thin and they squeak. I heard our neighbors talking and walking all night. So it was very difficult to sleep. However on Sunday night, most of the customers have already left, so it was fairly quiet.
The other customers seem very nice. There were mostly single couples and retired people. I didn't see many families with kids. I think we were the only family with a child.
The on-site restaurant was cute and the food was decent. The service was nice and polite, but extremely slow. It took forever to get our order in, to get our food, and pay our check. I wouldn't go if I had to pay full-price, but motel customers get 50% off the entree prices.
