Candlewood Suites Las Vegas, Las Vegas

Their customer service was above and beyond what I expected and the GM went out of his way to assist me with my scheduling conflicts. I was planning on meeting my son in Vegas for the weekend and a few hours before my flight was scheduled to leave my son informed he would not be able to make the trip to Vegas from Twentynine Palms, California where he is stationed with the Marine Corps. My heart was broken and my only option to see my son was to rent a car make the 4 hour drive and find a new hotel. I was going to be charged a cancellation fee but after speaking with the GM he took down my information, cancelled my reservations, made me new ones and did so without a cancellation fee or loss of reward points, all while I was flying. I can't thank him enough for helping this Marine mom spend a weekend with her son for the first time in 8 months!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and we had a great time! The bed was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was a lifesaver. We bought our own food and saved a lot of money by cooking our own meals. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool was clean and very nice. The whole environment felt safe and we had no fears about walking around. We plan on staying here the next time we go to Vegas. I don't know where those bad reviews came from because we couldn't have asked for a better place.

My friend just got married in Vegas last week and stayed here. Had my friend not hounded them to track down the delivery of her bridal flowers, she never would have received them because the staff was too stupid and/or lazy to bother to actually look for the package. I had champagne delivered for the couple's wedding night and after claiming the champagne had not arrived, "found it" and assured me they personally walked it to the couple's room, knocked on the door and left it at the door.. My friend just told me she never received it. They never delivered it to the room or even called to say it was at the desk. They are overnighting it to my friend now in Virginia after she checked out over a week ago. Do not stay here and have anything delivered. Your wedding day means nothing to them. Ghastly "customer service", they do not tell the truth and do nothing to assist. If you'd like more stress added to the joy of your wedding,, then by all means stay here.

sheets and pillows were dirty, smelly, sheets still have someones hair on them, we had to take to old dirty sheets and pillows to the front desk and exchanged for maybe? frehser ones, we have to make to bed ourself,just a worst hotel experience.

We live in SLC and often go to Vegas for business and pleasure. We've stayed at numerous other places in the past until we found this gem! It is clean, the staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. And it has all the amenities we need. Although I hate to recomend it because I really don't want other people finding this so that it gets so popular, we don't get a room! Hmmmmmmm.........

Do not stay at this hotel, there are so many other choices. I had booked a stay months in advance, I even made the reservation by phone, using their 1-800 #, six months in advance. One week prior to my trip, I get a phone call from the hotel and an extremely rude woman says that they will not honor the rate I had been quoted when I reserved(I've traveled MANY times in my life, and career for business, and I was of the belief that once you reserved and had a confirmation #, that was that, but no, she gave me my new rate, which was over four times what I had reserved under. I don't know about you, but that tells me a lot about a place, and why would you want to stay there after being treated like that. (Yes, I called the 1-800 #, but was told that it would take a week or so to straighten out, and would more than likely be in my favor. Well, my reservation was in a week, and again, nobody treats me like that and gets my money.) Even though it took hours, and I ran the risk of it not working out, I found a reservation on the Strip, at the Mirage, and only had to pay a little more per night(it pays to look for deals). When I was in Vegas, I had dinner at Morton's Steakhouse, and had the opportunity to see this hotel. I'm glad that I didn't stay there, it looked dirty and unsafe. I would not have enjoyed my stay there, trust me, there are MANY more places in Las Vegas to stay and get a great deal. I noticed that some posters here stayed there because of their pets, well, there are other pet friendly hotels. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this one.

We are extremely satisfied with our stay in November 2007 (We did not know what to expect, having previously read a few unfavorable reviews; but in fact this proved to be a GREAT place to stay)! The hotel was clean and well maintained. My wife says it is the most quiet hotel in which we have ever stayed. I found the Fitness Center to be excellent, well equipped and there was never a problem with machine availability even though the hotel was booked 100%. The staff was very professional and helpful. They did not hassle us when we checked in at 2:30PM, even though check-in is at 3:00PM. We just had to wait 15-20 minutes while they checked with housekeeping to find us a room. The room was not the non-smoking one we requested, but there was no odor so we were happy. The next day, Gwendlyn phoned us and moved us at no charge to an non-smoking one-bedroom suite. The only thing that could make it better would be daily housekeeping services. In order to reduce costs and offer more value to guests, the Candlewood Suites performs weekly housekeeping; but they provide clean towels upon request. We first stayed in a Studio Suite and then a One-Bedroom Suite. Both were comfortable: but the One-Bedroom Suite is so much nicer (larger) even if the rate is slightly higher. The location is very convenient. There are 5 or 6 very nice resturants within a couple of blocks. We had a car and each day drove a short distance to the MGM Grand to catch the Monorail. That worked out very well. We will definately return to this hotel.

We stayed in Candlewood Suites while visiting our grandchildren in Vegas. The Suites were very clean and comfortable. We were not on the strip which was a plus for us. There was a kitchenette and this made it easy to have our grandchildren stay with us. A small pet is welcome. There was a pet deposit, but it was worth it to have our dog with us. We will stay there again.

This place is just behind the strip. Off Tropicana. The rooms are clean and full equiped all the way down to the forks and plates! Pool was a small but was very clean. The grounds are well maintained. Great for people that are there for 2+ days and people with kids and dogs!!! The staff is friendly and what do ya know they speak English!! I am hispanic but I dont speak spanish so it is very comforting to be able to communicate with the staff from the front desk to the person that cleans the rooms!
