Description

Super 8 Motel DFW Airport North is approximately two miles from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Hotel amenities include an on-site fitness room, complimentary breakfast each morning which includes cereals, beverages, and breads. The hotel offers a meeting room, High-speed Internet access a mini-business center, guests laundry facilities, a 24-hour front desk, and complimentary parking. Free airport shuttle service also available. There are 59 rooms on three floors. Standard amenities include an alarm clock radio, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and a telephone. A major renovation was completed in March of 2012 that includes high quality comfortable beds, carpeting and brand new decor. New flat screen TVs that include all major HD Channels were also added.

Never again!

The drive to find the hotel wasn't bad. Neither was the outside apperance of the hotel. UNTIL....the minute we walked in the door it was humid, and had an awful smell. We arrived a little early hoping we can get some sleep but no the attendant said no we'll just have to wait. THE INTERNET AND COMPUTER DO NOT WORK!!!!! it just kept shutting down. When FINALLY given our room key it led us to a room that was already taken the second room reaked of cigarette smoke. and the third was absolute filth. the sheets smelled, so did the towels!!!! And each time we asked about each of the problem the owners became very defense and rude!!!! And did nothing else to solve the problem!!! unless we wanted to pay more! SO WE LEFT!

Overall good hotel, bad service

The place was really pretty nice except for a few knicks and dirty things in the wall. The t.v. didn't work too well either. Besides that, the beds were soft, everything was prepared and really clean for us. But the on-duty staff at the front was really just a jerk to those I was with and myself. Overall, the location was very convienant, being so close to the airport. Good price too...

Ups and Downs

Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the smell of wet dog combined with some other odor I could not place. The front desk manager decided it was more important to fill the juice machine than help the two customers standing at the desk. Check in was easy enough, and the room was clean with none of the odor that greeted the front door. Pets are not allowed at this motel even though the website says it's pet friendly. The few times I went to the front desk to ask for things, there was no help. The area was empty. Management and customer service are not distinguished at this hotel. If you're looking for a cheap and highly perfumed clean hotel room, you won't be disappointed, but bring nose plugs upon your arrival and leave Fido at home.

good for what we needed

We basically had a 7 hour layover so we slept at this hotel. It was pretty quiet and clean and the folks at the front desk were pleasant. Would come back

Make sure you call ahead for the shuttle

Its kinda slow. But it gets the job done and for cheap. Good wireless internet and is free. Room is decent sized.

Visiting the area

Enjoyed our stay and everyting was as advertised. The clerk did not hesitate to ask me for an upgrade for only 5 dollars more which I accepted. Would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

SMELLS bad

The hotel had a very overwhelmingly bad smell. My daughter and I had to hold our breaths from the time we entered the lobby until we were in our room (where the smell was not quite as noticeable). Several of the pillowcases had holes and black marks on them. I prepaid so check-in went smoothly. The microwave and refrigerator were a bonus that we liked. Overall, the room itself was nice.

Great Deal

I haved stayed at this location twice now when I just needed an overnight stay when going to the airport. I have paid much more for rooms that were not anywhere near this nice. This place sets the standard for basic accomidations. The airport is very close however I never heard a single plane while in the room. The staff has always been helpful and familiar with the area when directions were needed. The room was clean, spacious and neat. There was a microwave and a fridge. Free breakfast consist of juices, coffe, bagels, muffins, fruit, cereal and waffles. I will return regularly as long as this place remains such a great deal.

Stay away

This property is run down, dirty and staff are apathetic towards customers needs. Sheets were stained with blood. I will not return to this property or other super 8 properties.
