Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Eau Claire, Eau Claire

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend for 3 nights. I was shocked at how polite and helpful the staff was. Initially, I had it set up to be paid with my credit card. My girlfriend drove in from a different location to meet me here and had them change the payment type to cash so she could pay and get into the room, as I showed up late. They easily refunded her money and switched it back to credit card on request - and even changed the name the room was listed under - without complaint. I never saw them just lounging around. They took their business seriously. The cleaning staff worked quickly and quietly. It was an ordinary room - 2 queen beds, a table, TV, refrigerator, microwave, 2 sinks, dresser, night stand. But it had a cathedral ceiling, which I thought was a dumb selling point. I was wrong. It really gave the room a more comfortable, homey feel than the ordinary, low, flat ceiling. Everything was clean and fairly convenient (the refrigerator was on the floor, which was a little tough for me, being disabled. But, this was an ordinary room - not made to be handicap accessible). The sheets may have been slightly over-starched, but that's a personal preference. It was in a fairly central location - just down the street from the Oakwood Mall, several restaurants and other stores, and right off of the interstate. This had the cheapest rate in the area. While it lacked a pool, it did have a fireplace in the common area (if anyone ever hangs out in the common areas) and also a computer there for guests use. Also, they had free wireless internet and continental breakfast - though this is common just about everywhere now. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a fantastic stay.

We got the fire place room with whirlpool tub. The place was immaculate. I was very pleased with the room and service. Nothing was wrong or bad or didn't work right. Everything worked perfectly and it was a very enjoyable stay.

I liked it because it was quite and nobody bugged you. The room was so romantic and cosy with the fire place. I loved it
