Good hotel for the price
By bibe, 09/08/09
The hotel is located about 5 minutes away from the boardwalk but that's fine cause that also means far away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. It looked simple and almost non-inviting from the outside but once you get inside it's quite alright. the room we got was spacious and clean and has enought lights that you'll lose track of what switch to use to turn a light on/off. 1 glance on the bed and you can tell that they don't rotate it cause you can see the "dent" left by bodies - it's lumpy maybe from overuse. the sleeper sofa had a better mattress and was more comfortable than the queen-sized bed. bathroom's actually clean and not too small, towels are fluffy. dividing the room into 2 sections is the counter that houses the sink, fridge and microwave. a coffee maker is also provided but it only makes coffee one cup at a time. the free breakfast they provide includes some eggs that are a little rubbery in texture but quite alright and the make-your-own-waffle was great. juice, milk, coffee are also available and there's also some fruit. if you're lucky enough to get a room on the second floor, don't bother with the thermostat controls cause it's impossible to program. just leave it off and open the window wide. you'll sleep better with the breeze. will come back and stay here again next time we're in town and will recommend this to other friends.

When we went to Cannon Beach, we stayed here at the Microtel Inn & Suites, and it was great service and great location overall! Highly recommend the place for anyone planning to visit.

our place for summer
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/06
We've spent 2 summers in a row there with our children. It's a nice and very clean hotel and we love their breakfast.:-) It takes 5-10 minutes to arrive at the beach or in downtown.

Our favorite coastal lodging!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/06
For 6 years we have stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites while spending our favorite "Sister's" get-away to Seaside & Cannon Beach. We love Tina! The staff is great! Always make us feel welcome. Now we are considered the Inn's REGULARS! A great yearly welcoming!---Irena & Dani

Great economy and service in Seaside
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/06
When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff who let us check into our room early since we had finished touring the Oregon Zoo quicker than expected. We found our room (Queen Suite with kitchenette and sleeper sofa) very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was quite good, with do-it-yourself waffles and a great selection of muffins, fruit, juices, and coffee. When our 7 year old took a nasty sandy spill on the beach the staff even let us use their clothes dryer to dry his clothes! Overall a wonderful stay, and with the stay 2 nights get a third night free promotion (ends June 30th though) the best bargain in Seaside. I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean hotel, nice service, worth staying
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/05
The staff was really nice. Went extra lengths to give us the type of room we wanted. We needed 2 beds and our initial room had only 1 bed + 1 sofabed. The reception lady quickly found us another room with 2 beds and then looked further to find us a suite with 2 beds. The hotel was really clean and well maintained. The breakfast included fresh wafles, sara lee muffins, fruits, coffee and 10 types of tea. Room was really nice with a box window where one could sit and relax. Only drawback is that the rooms don't have any sea view.
