SpringHill Suites by Marriott Peoria Westlake, Peoria

excellent accommodations, clean, up-to-date; great breakfast; helpful staff: initially we were put in a room next to elevators (noisy) and since we were staying 4 nights, we asked the desk clerk for another room away from elevator and one with dresser storage for our clothing (the only drawers in the room were in the night stands), she informed us that since the recent renovation that all dressers had been removed: the second room in which she placed us just happened to have a two-drawer dresser tucked away in the closet, so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases. Unless the hotel wants only overnight guest (not multiple nights) they should replace the TV stands with a multiple drawer dresser.

In mid-August it would have been nice to have a working pool. No compensation ws offered in exchange. Rates are high even if hotel is fairly decent.

The night I checked in, there were about a hundred kids from some grade school's basketball tournament, from what a resident told me. These kids were running up and down the halls and slamming doors well into the late hours of the evening, while I was trying to sleep. I called the front desk and complained and asked to be moved to another room. They said they were trying to contain these kids and keep the noise down (obviously they didn't succeed), but they did move me from my room on the 2nd floor to a much quieter room on the 5th floor (I had requested a high floor room anyway, but they didn't grant it originally). Once I moved up to the new room, everything was OK. The rooms are very clean, the rates were reasonable, and the location is right near a shopping mall and restaurants. And the free breakfast was a nice plus. Yahoo Travel claims that the rooms have a DVD/VCR player in the rooms under "Amenities", but in fact there is no DVD player in any of the rooms. Just a VCR for playback only.

Our family had 8 rooms/suites together on the thrid floor and were able to mix and mingle easily one evening. We rented the meeting room and gathered there most of the next day, bringing in our own food. The meeting room had a sink, tables for our food, tables to eat on and plenty of room all around. Some of us used the pool and exercise room which were very nice. The complilmentary breakfast was delicious, and there were plenty of tables for us and the others there as well. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff was very helpful. Michelle arranged the meeting room and helped make the whole event go very well! We're already thinking about doing it all again next year! They are very accomodating and family friendly!

The SpringHill Suites in Peoria is a very nice hotel and the rooms offer a lot of comfort and class. With a lot of features you wouldn't find at other hotels. The price is not to bad its a little expsensive for what you get but its worth it. The free hot breakfast is great perfect to start your morning off right. The location is very close to nearby Shops, Resturaunts,etc. The service is very good but if u have kids who like to jump in the pool expect to be asked rudely for them to stop. Over all I would most likely stay at this hotel again.

I have younger and older children and this hotel was great for the family. The rooms are all large and include two beds in the bedroom area, a small living room that included a fold out sofa (that was actually comfortable per my children),a desk that we used for our computer(includes high speed internet or you can go downstairs and use their computers)and a kitchenette that includes a refrig, microwave, sink and plenty of cabinents. The breakfast was free and had plenty to offer everyone of us. The also have a area they call The Market where you can go during the day to get snacks,drinks, ice cream, ect (isn't cheap though). The pool is large and clean. The hot tub was also clean and wondefully warm to relax in while the kids swam. They had a small workout room with 2 treadmills,stairsteper, and a bike. All worked great and you could watch TV while you worked out. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The only unfriendly person was the housekeeper and I think she was just having a bad week. We have traveled all over the country with our children and this hotel rates as one of the best. I recommend it to anyone whether on business or on a family vacation.

I LIKED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SPRINGHILL SUITES THE LOCATION WAS GREAT. THE FRONT DESK HELP WAS VERY NICE WHEN I COME TO PEORIA, I WILL ALWAYS STAY AT THE SPRINGHILL SUITES.

Not a bad place to stay at all. They have a deal with a local gym for you to work out for free and it is GREAT!

I was one of the bowler's in the IL state youth team, doubles, and singles. As you can see I had a long weekend ahead of me, and the Springhill put my mind at ease before bowling. When we walked in the room it was very clean and tidy. The room had a comfortable feel it is hard to explain you have to see it for yourself. The pool was an exceptional size that kept everyone there happy also it was warm and cozy. The contenetial breakfeast was something I have never seen before. I mean you can make your own waffles again putting my mind at ease before bowling.
