Not that good for business
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/08
The WI FI is sporadick, so if you need a connection is room it wasnt that good for the 2 weeks i stayed there. Food is good. But last weekend we were there large group of high school track team came in and they couldnt handle the crowd. After the group ate it was big mess and took time to clean up. Problem with pool heater cold most of the time and hot tub so hot you couldnt get into it without feeling you were cooking in it. I would have to take another look at it before I would come back. Some days you would get your towels back to the 4 you got when the room first came. Would run out of things because they didnt put more in like toilet paper, dish towels, soup, shampoo

Really Poor Experience
By Tom VW, 01/01/08
I'm a business traveler and have stayed in almost every hotel chain. I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites in Texas and the experience was so good I booked my wife and I into this West Des Moines location for our Anniversary/New Year's getaway. From the moment we arrived the experience was awful. Our room wasn't clean: there was sticky stuff on the tables, mold on the shower curtain, and there was a large roll of carpet sitting in the middle of the kitchenette area. There were virtually no utensils in the kitchenette. There were no glasses in the room (not even the cheap plastic dixie cups by the bathroom sink). The bed was not comfortable. When I went to tell the front desk that we didn't have any glassware in the room the clerks just said, "Really? Huh!" No apology, but she then got me some glasses from the kitchen and I then mentioned that there was a roll of carpet in our room. "Really? Huh! I wonder what that's doing there." Really not worth the money and an absolutely awful place to spend our Anniversary.

Stay Here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/07
We had stayed at this property about three months ago & were satisfied. We returned this past week to find it even better! Very friendly, from the GM on down the line.Clean, service was excellent. We were made to feel at home. Our little girls loved the pool.We all loved the homeade cookies!Best value in Des Moines or West Des Moines. We were asked to return by their new GM & we definely will if the opportunity arises. Hope this help,if you are traveling ing the area or want to stay for quite awhile. They actually are for extended stays!

I loved how we were able to bring our dog and the service was terrific! The price is so fabulous and the breakfast is delicious.

Great location and huge room!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/09/05
I really liked that they let my dog stay with me. I also was very happy with the location. It was in an Industrial Park, but there was a lot of restaurants around. There were lots of side walks along a pond. The area felt very clean and safe. The rooms felt that way as well. My room had one king bed, a chair, a sofa, a dressing area, a workstation. It was very large and laid out nicely. It wasn't just a long rectangle. It had two windows. It was noisy though. I could hear the people above me which was surprising because the place didn't feel flimsy. The breakfast was pretty good too. Cereals, eggs (powdered I suspect), potatoes, muffins, juice. All in all I was very happy with my choice. I highly recommend and will stay again if I'm in the area. The loud noise could be attributed to the school bus full of high school children that were staying there.
