No beating the Attwater
By ThomasH, 06/28/09
On our recent trip to Newport, we wanted an Inn that was centrally located, quiet, clean and charming. Those attributes all belong to the Attwater Villa. We were extremely happy with our stay there. The Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful - providing great suggestions and directions! The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a sun porch and sitting area if you want to just relax for a while outside of your room. Don't miss breakfast and Roland's special granola. We would definitely recommend the Attwater Villa to others and we will be returning in the future ourselves.

Its the only Inn for me!
By AnnaY, 03/23/09
I appreciate the quiet location, yet is a quick walk from everything! The inn keepers are gracious, extremely helpful and keep a spotless and charming atmosphere. The rooms are up to date, and are kept immaculate with homeade touches; is my Newport home away from home no matter what time of year I visit!

Only Place To Stay In Newport
By Sandra, 03/22/09
I stay at Attwater Villa every summer for the past 6 years. I have also stayed for New years Eve as well as Valentines Day. When I want to get away for a weekend, it is the only place I think of first weather it be warm weather or cold. The hospitality is wonderful and the Inn is so warm and comforting from the lit candles in the halls to the great breakfast. The suites and rooms are very elegant and imaculate. You feel so welcome by Sadie and Roland you feel like your one of the family in no time. I have never felt so comfortable anywhere else and will be returning again this year. I can't wait. Stay just once and you will never stay anywhere else in Newport.

Perfect in every way.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/08
Roland and Sadie were wonderful to us; we were allowed to check-in early as our suite was available. Hints given were most helpful-restaurants,sites, prices ,etc. The weather could not have co-operated more. Breakfast was terrific and plentiful. Would go back in a heartbeat.

A real bullseye.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/07
Thanks to all the prior posts here, my wife and I selected Attwater which greatly added to our vacation enjoyment. Sadie went over the map with us which saved us one or two days of aimless wandering and Roland was there at breakfast every morning making sure we were maximizing our vacation enjoyment. Walking around town is easy from the Attwater.

Great Getaway in Newport
By Liz C, 07/16/07
The Attwater Villa was a very pleasant place. The rooms were neat and clean and the owners, Roland and Sadie, were friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were hearty and Roland's homemade granola was very yummy!!! The little treats in the lobby were a nice added touch. Liz & Bob

Perfect Long weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/06
We have just returned from a long weekend at the Attwater Villa. We loved it! From the minute we checked in (greeted by Sadie, the very friendly innkeeper) we knew we had chosen the right place. It was our anniversary weekend and my husband had arranged for champagne and flowers to be delivered to the room. Sadie made sure the champgne was on ice and our glasses even chilled in our freezer! These people go above and beyond the call of duty and it is VERY obvious that they love what they do. We stayed in one of their deluxe rooms which was great. We wanted a suite but we called too late. Our room was spotlessly cleaned and that was very important to us. The location cannot be beat either...I don't even think we moved our car once we arrived, except to go to the vineyard which was allot of fun. The breakfast was a generous spread of food served in an immaculately cleaned room on the first floor. Sadie went over a detailed map of newport with us when we arrived steering us away from any tourists traps (there are many). We loved that map and took it with us everywhere we went. her suggestions were right on EVERY time. Thank you, Sadie for a lovely weekend and will will be back with friends.
