Numero 1 Guest House, San Juan

We were thrilled with our experience at Numero Uno Guest House. The staff is incredibly nice, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is cute, private and charming, with lots of beautiful plants on the grounds. The location is excellent, right on a great beach and a short taxi ride from Old San Juan, and the hotel restaurant is extremely delicious. We loved our experience here and highly recommend it.

my wife and I had a great time. Milton and the staff were very nice to us. We met another couple there and we planned our return the same week.We highly recommended numero 1 to all of our freinds that are going to Puerto Rico. Remember the saying location, location, location.

I tried to keep this place a secret for years. Trying to keep it quite so when I needed to get away I could book a room with no problem. Well, thats over. I loved this place when I first went 16 years ago and I keep going back when I get a break. I was there when the owners were getting the House off the ground. They made it into a lovely place. Good going guys! Food is great! People are great! Nothing bad to say about this place, home away from home.

What is not to love about Numero Uno? My partner and I were there in October 08 for my birthday and had a fantastic time! We were originally booked at the Caribe Hilton until I located Numero Uno on-line and I quickly changed our reservations. And were we glad that I did! They have a terrific, helpful staff, a great location right on the beach (we had our coffee and breakfast on the sand every morning) The rooms were very clean as was the rest of the guest house. Parking is a little tight but we had no trouble finding a spot. I would recommend this beautiful property to anyone that wants to truly enjoy everything that the wonderful island of Puerto Rico and its people have to offer! jeff&seth

For two weeks, every February for nearly 20 years I vacationed in Ocean Park's NUMERO UNO. A true escape to paradise!! Everything you will ever need is on the premises. Sparkling ocean waves by day that lull you to sleep at night. Great food, great guests and especially GREAT OWNERS who know how to make guests feel welcomed. There are lots of fancy and pretentious hotels in San Juan, but my favorite is this B&B, Numero Uno. Come see why and you'll come back year after year too! - Rebecca from Mt Laurel, NJ

The hotel is an excellent location on Santa Ana Street in Condado-right on the beach with a glorious view of the ocean; street parking is very tight if you have a rental car; the hotel is in a 3-story building with contemporary decor with friendly, helpful front desk staff; the ground floor room was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed but noise from the restaurant kitchen came through the walls throughout the day and night. The restaurant, Pamela’s, is glass-enclosed, on the ground floor, and right next to beach; it is expensive and a definite dining extravagance; opt for breakfast and lunch at a local cafe on McLeary Street. The beach is very popular with locals. I recommend this boutique hotel but ask for a room on the second floor, use taxis, eat out, and enjoy the beach.

This was not the first time I have been to Numero Uno and it will not be the last. Outstanding service, clean rooms, and all the creature comforts that you have at home are there. There really is no comparison when it comes to getting the most for your money. Bravo to the owner!!! I just wish I can keep this place a secret.

What I liked the most is that I felt like I was home the employees made you feel so welcome. Coffee,pasties with fresh fruit is a wonderful way to start the day, not to mention the ocean and the sandy beach. What I didn't like to see was how the beach got dirty after a day of the young crowd of people partying on the 4th of July. Then again thats a sign of the night life of Puerto Rico. Clearly after a day it was cleaned up. I also loved the "Hello"oooo Man that when around screaming that all his fried foods is good. He was right the traditional fried foods were very tasty and not greasy. Loved it. Looking for his own home made sauce soon to come to New York and all of the United States, I believed labeled "Hello". Check it out. Great place I recommended to all ages.

Numero Uno Guest House is the place to rest and relax.The staff is so welcoming and friendly,they make you want to come backagain and again.

Numero Uno's owners live atop the hotel. Maybe that's why it's so nice. We started our Puerto Rican adventure here and it was a great place to be while in San Juan. It's right on the beach and is very close to everything as it's sandwiched bwteen the casinos and old San Juan. The people here are great and the bar at Pamela's is very nice. We ventured a few blocks to an excellent local restarant called Bebo's which we all loved. We paid $169 for our room which was clean and comfortable with a king size bed and a flat screen tv. The bathroom was a little small but it was nicely done and wasn't a problem. Check out Numero Uno if you want to stay away from the crowds and the kids!
