Great customer service and accommodations!
By maeg, 2/29/08
Great staff service from the moment we checked in until check-out! Being first-timers in DC, staff's assistance on directions, restaurant tips, etc., was valuable. Definitely our choice on our return!

Not good for business needs
By Ms. Girl, 2/19/08
We're a major corporation who's business travel arrangements change on a dime. We missed the cancellation policy by 45 mins and they would not refund the amount. they had plenty of time to give that room to another guest and they still had availability online. they tried to compare to airline reservations fortunately for us, we are able to purchase fully refundable tickets because that meets are needs. Sad to say we will never be able to use this hotel and write a review based on an actual stay.. definitely not a hotel for business needs.

Very Nice Hotel
By Lisa, 7/27/07
My Fiance and I stayed New Years Eve at this hotel and it was very nice. The have a roman package that included breakfast, champagne and roses. The bed was so comfortable and the room had 'luxury' written all over it. Not to mention the downtown DC nightime atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.

Great place!!
By Bryan, 7/7/07
The hotel is in a nice a safe location close to the metro and a walk to georgetown and dupont circle. its very well maintained, clean, everyone was nice and took pride in the jobs he or she did. large room, 2 tvs, big bathroom, mini fridge, coffee in the room, free washington post paper, room card needed to operate elevator, more safe. overall it was a great place and i will stay again. Didnt care to much for the M restraunt, went to Cosi down the street, good food there. Negatives were the mini bar, REALLY expensive, there are dozens of cvs stores real close, one is 24 hours, do yourself a favor and grab some snacks and drinks there, not alot of tv channels either. the games and webtv and movies are really expensive. parking was valet 26 for the week and i think it was 20 for the weekend, but its not much cheaper anywhere else and i felt more safe with it there.

Nice Location, but
By LC Boy, 4/4/07
Nice location, but staff is not helpful and not accomodating. I expected more. Won't be back. Try another location in DuPont Circle or Foggy Bottom. Rooms were just OK.

Terrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/10/07
There was no electricity for 14 of the 15 hours we were there. The staff refused to refund our money or put us up at their sister hotel. We couldn't see a thing in the room all night. The heat went off. The telephone was dead. There was no hot water. Because the phone wasn't working, I had to go down to the front desk to inquire about the situation ("They're working on it") and to ask to speak to the manager ("He's in a meeting.") When I asked what they were going to do to compensate for the fact the hotel had not provided any heat, hot water for a shower, light, phone, t.v, etc., I was told it was not their fault becaue it was the city that provided the electricy. What about trying to accomodate your customers during such a situation? They could have given customers the opportunity to go to another hotel, give them a refund, or even give them a flashlight. They did none of these. Shame on them....

We liked the hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/06
We liked the cleanliness and location. The people at the front desk were friendly. We were very disappointed with the service in the restaurant. We went down for a light breakfast. We ordered a muffin, croasant, and two coffees. The girl who took the order immediately showed her disappointment that we didn't order a $20 dollars morning menu. When I asked if she can toast a $4 dollar miniture muffin she brought out, she showed her arrogance by saying "toasted?", as if she never heard that before. Although she had a spanish accent, we were sure she was in the country long enough to know the meaning of the word 'toasted'. She never came over to the table again to ask if we needed anything. After receiving an $18 bill which she arrogantly put on our table without 'thank you', we were surprised to see that the gratuities were included in the bill. On top of that, the gratuities were taxed and added to the bill. We just paid and left. We never went down to the restaurant again. P.S. We usually leave a much better tip that was included in the bill (whose loss is it anyway?) Don't they usually include gratuities in the bill when there are more than 5 people. There were only two of us. Ridiculous??? Recommendations: Stay in the hotel, eat somewhere else.

Perfect place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/31/06
Great location -- walking distance to metro and Georgetown. Corner suite, lots of windows (2 TVs!), room for the four of us to spread out. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Only negative: would have appreciated free internet access. Overall, an excellent value. And I would absolutely stay there again.
