Amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/09
Wow! We had a room that overlooked downtown Deadwood and it was awesome. The room had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, let alone in a hotel, and the motif of the room was beautifully rustic. The kitchenette was very nice with a large counter to spread out on. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to stay at in Deadwood. The staff was very helpful and nice also! Very clean!

Outstanding Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/09
We stayed in the Suite, which was absolutely gorgeous. The Hotel is in a great location right in the heart of the main strip, easy access to all the casino's, shops and restaurants. My wife and I have already booked our next trip, and will be staying here again in June.

Never Again!
By yahoo user, 09/21/08
This was the absolute WORST Holiday Inn Express that we have ever stayed in. Most Holiday Inn Express Hotels have a fridge & microwave and plenty of space. This room was about the size of a walk in closet and more expensive than even Scottsdale, Arizona. As other reviewers mentioned, there is no adjacent parking and we didn't see any directions for loading/unloading zone, it was especially hard to find at night. The entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke odor. The staff had a "who cares" attitude about our dissatisfaction. Since there aren't many choices for places to stay in Deadwood I'm sure they are always full, but my advice is save your money and stay in nearby Rapid City. We are normally easy to please and reasonable people, but I'm still boiling mad about the staff's arrogant attitudes. We are Priority Club members, but decided we will not give Holiday Inn Express our business for the rest of this vacation. If I could give this hotel a rating of "0" stars that would be my choice.

perfect location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/08
We stayed here several times, it's clean, friendly and a perfect location. The parking may be a bit of a pain but once you park the car, you don't need it again until you leave. It was beautiful in Deadwood, we woke up to snow covered streets and trees.

Pay top dollar for Great Location and very poor parking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/07
I thought it was a little pricey, but all hotels are in this area. Great location, you can walk to all the shops and casinos. Parking is absolutely terrible. You have to unload your bags at the hotel. There are a few 20 minute parking spots you can park at while checking in, if they are available, but it is crowded and cars will be honking at you. (No Valet) You must park your car in a garage 2 blocks away. There is a $5 cash deposit for the card key to get in/out of the garage, which is nice. Rooms are typical Holiday Inn Express, I have stayed in better as well as worse. Breakfast bar could be better. Drinks at the casino in the hotel are $4.50 even if your gambling. Buffet is across the street at the Gold Dust Casino. Buffet is reasonably priced although selection is slim. If ever back in Deadwood, I would stay here again because of the location.

Typical Room
By , 05/08/07
The parking situation was a pain in that you had to haul your luggage into the hotel then park way down the street in a parking structure. I like being able to keep an eye on my car. The room was pretty typical of these sites. It was clean & well appointed. The staff was cordial as well.

Great Place, Great Fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/05
I have been to Deadwood many times since my first trip in 2000, and I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express everytime since 2003 (my first time in that hotel). I've got to say that it is the best hotel in Deadwood. The rooms and gaming areas are very clean, the people are extremely nice and helpful, (getcha about anything you want), and the gameing is the best in town.$$$$!!! In all of the times Ive been there, I have only had one issue. They accidently booked me for a single room when I had ordered a large king sized room for 2. This was not able to be corrected for some reason, so I cut my trip down to one night. One mistake in 10 trips... not bad. Oh yea, become a member at thier gaming club and you'll have alot more fun at thier other casino across the street. Chris Crockford, Casper, WY

The ONLY place to stay in Deadwood!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/05
Location, location, location. You could not ask for a more convenient location in Deadwood. It is perfect for myself and my 81 year old mother.
