My wife and I stayed here and we enjoyed it. The breakfast in the morning was very good. The room was well kept and clean. We thought the staff was helpful. I think the reviews you see are very old.

the last place i would stay

manager is rude, never available, enjoys hiding,stonelike personality and far from gracious. should be fired in order to give the hotel a better rating. owner also missing. worst hotel in asheville nc. hotel hunters beware!

We'd stay here again!!

The hotel was conveniently located for our travel purposes. It was close to downtown and the Biltmore Estate. The staff was friendly, accomodating, and knew a great deal about the local area. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the price was really affordable. We'll stay here again!

Don't stay here

We stayed here on Jan 1, 05. We were traveling with 2 pets and made reservations because they accepted pets. It was a horrible, smelly, dirty room to the point I would not even consider walking on the carpet with bare feet. It was a horrible experience. My dog even caught pink eye from this place and needless to say took several vet visits to cure. Just because we travel with pets doesn't mean we don't want decent, clean rooms to stay in... we would have been much better off sleeping in the Caddy Escalade.

A Horrible Experience

My husband & I stayed in a King-Suite at this location in October-2004 and discovered when we went to go to bed that the sheets had never been changed from whomever stayed before us. We had to change our own bed at 11:30 at night. Alerting the problem to the general manager resulted in an "apology" an an offer of 10% off our NEXT stay. The bed sheets were covered in hair, sock fibers, & wrinkled beyond belief. There was no shampoo in the bathroom and I had to get dressed & go get some at 7 am so I could take a shower. I cannot recommend staying at a hotel that charges close to $100 a night and you have to do the maid's job! There are better hotel choices in this city led by management that would be more responsive & accountable for such gross mistakes.
