Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh, Sharm El Sheikh

I travelled to sharm in may 2004 and was very impressed by the overall service of the staff. They were very helpful and very friendly especially to my 3 year old daughter. The rooms were imaculate and the luxurious bathroom was better than any hotel I have ever stayed in. The layout of the hotel was a little confusing at first, as it is so huge but it is well signposted. The huge slide was a great touch for the kids. The pool area was very impressive and the souk was amazing for �8.00 you eat very well with cuisines from all over the world.Their general view is "If we don't have it, we will make it for you"!! The entertainment shows were very cultural rather than the usual tacky one which are on offer.
Would definetly go back. The hospitality alone was amazing, never mind the breathtaking views from the lobby.

We stayed in this hotel in August 2002. We booked with Longwoods travel company and paid extra for a Regency Club upgrade. When we arrived, we were upgrade from a Club room to a Junior Suite which was huge. There was a large sitting room with guest bathroom, a double bedroom with large en-suite 4 piece bathroom, a shuttered sitting area and two balconies. Service in the Regency club was excellent. The club pool was very quiet with only a handful of guests so it felt as though it was your own private pool. The pre-dinner canapes were generous and delicious. The free bar (between 5:30 to 7pm) had all the usual branded drinks and guests are free to help themselves.
The diving and snorkeling opportunities are great, the hotel is situated right by middle gardens coral reef. I will definately come back to this hotel - it is far superior to the Hyatt in Taba Heights.

The Hyatt is about 5 years old and is spread over 85 acres. We had a club room which was very comfortable and spacious with a breathtaking sea view from its own balcony. We liked the separate club pool and club with free drinks and hors d'oevres. All the staff very very friendly and helpful.

The diving and snorkelling were excellent. The hotel has its own diving centre and a pontoon from the beach takes you straight to the coral. We went in mid November. The weather was hot and the sea temperature was 27C. We are probably going to go again this year.

This is a great hotel, ideally located for a laid back easy going holiday. As scuba divers, my wife and I find this hotel most acceptable for local (house reef) diving or boat diving further afield (Ras Mohamed) etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculate, the interior restaurants excellent and of a very high standard. The Souk restaurant is our favourite with a choice of foods from around the world although the in house entertainment could do with a little more variety.
